glad i saw this. im looking to do the same setup u have but with a hx40 holset turbo. build custom exhaust manifold and such and was wondering what type of carb hat to usewith my weber. so u just made a manifold box by welding some aluminum together with the 2 air horns off of the weber? and did u boost prep the carb yourself?... also what kind of porting i done to your engine...

Yeah i welded aluminum plate to the two velocity stacks and welded the aluminum into a box. it is too small and has very small leaks. i never welded aluminum before so its ugly... i used a mig welder its kinda tough... wish i had a tig... plus its designed incorrectly.. i guess i need to have the boost tube com in at a 90 deg angle to the carb throats.. and the volume is supposed to be at least 130 percent of combustion chamber volume i guess. that is what moremazda says. I have some stainless plate i think i will redesign the bonnet out of stainless since i can weld that pretty easily... ill post some pics of my exhaust when i get another cam... mine broke. its quick but needs more tuning once i fix the bonnet. then i can mess with the timing a bit more and run 15 psi instead of the current 7-8 lbs

what turbo are u running? ive been looking into the holset hx35 and hx40. i was going to go smaller but ppl told me id have plenty of exhaust to spin these with a large street port. saying i need around a 1.0 a/r housing on the hot side. i can get the holset turbos pretty cheap since they come on stock cummins diesels. my friend has a tig machine and is gonna be making my exhaust manifold so im gonna see if he can make a carb hat as well. its gonna take a few months to get all of this going so im just trying to plan ahead and buy one thing at a time
