Very impressive. Im wondering why you take such a big chance running pump gas with such borderline high boost? Or are you just seeing how fast you can run on "pump" ? Seems like an awful big risk, but still a bad *** run none the less. Who did your tuning?

I'm the same way about pump gas. I like to run at the track what I run on the street.

Thats awesome man!!!

How laggy is that T70? I've considered that turbo. What do you like better about the old turbo? Spool up easier so its not as bad to bog off the line??? More street friendly?

Keep up the good work man,
STEPHEN

Thanks Ernie:-).... I've been running 18-19 psi for awhile now from the twins to now the single. I do all my tunning with the help from my trusty FJO wideband.
The risk of breaking a motor is the same at 14 or 19 psi if not properly tunned.
My car is actually tuned for 20-21psi on pump gas *but* Inj duties are too high (97-100%). My timing advance is also safe....knock under boost is low and I also add more fuel to the rear rotor since it shows in most engines to run leaner.

Don't get me wrong....I'm not telling everyone that its safe to run that kinda boost, I've taken all the necessary steps to get there.

I will dyno the car soon.....we'll see what it makes.....somewhere near 500 rwh

I launch on Nittos @ ~4krpm....ET streets===> 7krpm

I have a turbo II diff and a brace.

Hopefully by buddy has video of all the runs:-)

You're an animal, or maybe the car is an animal and you're an animal trainer. Whatever the case, good job. How much fuel did you add to the rear rotor? I assume you increased the rear primary % size setting in the column furthest to the left under the Tab 5 settings.

John is just nutz but big props for him for such a big accomplishment. I don't know of anyone else that has ran 10's on pump gas (ONLY). and the fact that he ran 10's on drag radials show even more potential of what the car/driver is capable of.

If I remembered correctly, I think john was running 720cc primary and 1600cc secondary?

You can also decrease the injector size in the secondary to increase fuel for that particular bank.

By changing the lag time? I know the primaries have the % size difference function, but not the secondaries.

WOW! That's an amazing accomplishment to pull that off on pump gas and radials! Keep up the good work.

Chris,
Nevermind, I must be thinking of a different system other than the PFC. I think you and I tried that on Mike's car before and that the only way to change the injector size individually is on the primary. I was thinking somehow that there're two settings for the secondary injectors.

Umm, how do you do that running "Batch" on an E6K?...maybe that's why my rear plate always broke on my 13bt.

Talking

Thanks Steve.....this car has simply been amazing !!! it has run as fast as my 10th Ann Ed Turbo II which did it w/ race gas, more boost (same turbo:-) and slicks.......

I'm running 850cc for primaries and 1200cc for sec's......
I increased the lag time for the rear which adds more fuel under boost.....looking at the plugs they're always same brown color......before that rear plug always showed a lighter color....oh yeh those runs were on NGK 9eqs all around.

Thanks again:-)

Interesting point that you brought up about the flow differances! Have you seen this thread?

You might want to look into this.

Edit: oh yea, what is your A/F ratio?

A/F's were at 10.6-10.8 on logs from FJO wideband...earlier were richer (~10.4-10.6) but I had removed some fuel.

How about timing, before and after torque?

Didn't you work with Dave in PA around 2000? I think that I met you a few hours before I totalled my FD.

I see no real problem running 17+psi on 93-94 gas.. I am running 17 and have had no problems. But I do run 110 sometimes, why not! I can get it for $3.49. About 1.30 more than 93. Just seems safe.

Do you have an explanation (or guess) on why is that?

Better tunning? driver?

Just wondering

Well driver and tuner are the same so I'm assuming the years of experience and trial and error. The 13B-REW engine is also a better engine overall.

I personally think the T66 is a better choice for this level of performance.
