Question Is $1225 a good deal for a GT35/40 turbo?

I can't really find prices just for the turbo anywhere except on Australian websites. Has anyone else just priced the turbo?

So, a friend that owns a local performance shop is building a manifold, dp, and all other fabrication items to go single on my car.

He really wants me to go single, so he is hooking me up with really nice prices for the fab work and the necessary items. On top of it he is willing to install it with me for no extra charge.

Anyhoo, his person that orders everything priced the 35/40 at $915 for me. I thought that sounded to good to be true, so I had him go over the specs with the vendor and they all matched up. Well, the turbo came in today and it was just the cartridge, no compressor hsg. or exhaust hsg. Turns out that the full turbo costs a few hundred more. He said the best he could do is $1225.

Does this sound like a really nice price? What are the normal asking prices in the US?

thanks in advance

actually that sounds like a pretty good price on most any turbo, not just a 35/40, but actually yea that is a good deal i think most people say they cost like 1800 or something close.
