Rebuild Project Pictures
Hey Kim, I'm assuming you are going to use new seals all around since you haven't put them down on a map so you know which seal goes where? I'm not sure how important that is but in all the rebuild video's and writeups they seem to say it is kinda important because of clearences and such. Also, where are all the springs? Still in the rotors?
Good luck putting her back together

So here is my attempt on porting.
Any thoughts on how far I can go on the upper port, I know I can take it upwards a few more millimeters.
But how far can I go without hitting a watercanal or screwing up the compression cycle, it feels like there are about 4-5 mm. more before the intaketract casting ends

The size of the ports looks to me to be "on the edge"
I woudn't go larger if I where you Kim
Just my € 0.02
Uhhh How come the Euro-Spec N/A´s not have the EGR thingie????
Not that I complain, less to block off
.
I would tend to believe that you can go deeper in the E.Spec irons than regular ones as there are no EGR "tunnel" to care about, also there must be a littlebit more waterflow in it

And the secondary + Auxillary port.
I know it looks like it goes into the oil seal track, but it only just touches the line its "on the edge" as someone mentioned before. But I think im safe

I must be bored...
Pics of me porting 6port engine for fun at hIGGI's shop...
Notice black lines showing where the water jacket was.

There's HUGE amounts of iron that can be taken out.
If you look at the pic, you can see two dent marks inside the port - this is where I banged with a hammer to see if it'll break. Nope, still intact.

Kim, I hate you, how can you have so much time on your hands! I must be doing something wrong
Have you painted all those black parts or something? looks super clean! Are you going to paint the calipers?

Yup I have too much time on hand.
Basicly I just drive to work a few hours earlier and work on some stuff, we have all the right tools there which makes wrenching a lot less time consuming.
I painted those parts Gloss black, Im not sure whether I will paint the calipers

Just wanted to tell that I ordered water seals and FD cornerseal-springs today at our local Mazda stealership
I will hopefully order Apexseals from either hurley or atkins next week.
I can hardly wait to get it done

If you decide to rebuild yours talk to higgi about parts, he is the man...

I meant rotaryaviation not atkins.
