Pics of the Rx-7 that was built in 3 days.
As a good bit of you know, I crashed my 1983 Mazda Rx-7 GSL. Well all of the running gear was swapped into a really clean 1984 shell. All mods are the same as before, just looks much better. I finally took pics of her today after a good wash and wax. Thanks to the OGTA for helping me get her together in an astonishing 3 days from a stripped shell and a crashed car.

Yep that's the Ole White One. Here's a photo from her previous life:

Now she has a 13B and a Del Horto in her, Chris has her fixed up pretty. And I'm driving the Silver One, which was also built with the help of the OGTA crew back in August, using parts from the White One:

Yes he did. He kept some of the parts off it and they swapped most of the parts from the wrecked car onto the "White One". That is why the car is so clean..it used to be Ray's.
So, now the "White One" is "Sexypants II".
I would have been there to help if I was a little closer. I'll have to check out Sexypants II and the "Silver One" at the next lakehouse meet..or before if I can make it down there.

I love that car but Chris needed a shell and I know he will love and care for it just as well. And we are always looking for an excuse to do an OGTA build.
I am in the market for another white one though, maybe an SE this time (red leather interior is a must, or at least red velor). If someone knows of a nice one (GSL's especially welcome) please let me know.
By the way Dave, those professional photos at the beginning of the post were taken by Chris, he's a professional photographer.

Yeah, I am doing my best to take care of the car, keep it all waxed up and pretty. Also driving it MUCH more carefully. I feel like the car belongs to the community more than it belongs to me at times.

Thanks everyone soo much, you have no idea how much I really do love this thing, and how I appreciate it and will baby it.
Billy, Sexy Pants is going to the Crusher soon. Chris said you needed something from the front end?
Chris should I post one last Picture of Sexy Pants before she heads for that great Wankel raceway in the sky?

If you want to post pics of SP-I feel free. The poor stripped mangled thing she is now.
I'll get more pics of SP-II for you, and she is running great other than the stock fuel pump not being able to get me above 80 mph when the flow of traffic on I-285 is 85 mph some times of the day. I'll get passed by vans and stuff >.< Also the wheel bearing that was going bad on SP-I is still going bad on SP-II and I haven't had the money to replace the front disc and bearings on that corner. Also have o buy a new pressure plate to install the new clutch and flywheel. Lots of little things still diminishing the driving experience haha. It's still wonderful though.
Thanks for the compliments on the car/pictures.
