General Info
We’ll be driving around San Diego’s South County. We’ll pass through Jamul and head up Honey Springs Rd. Then it’s the back way up to I-8 and Old Hwy 80. The route will take us above and through Lyons Valley, visiting the Lyons Valley Trading Post, along Old Hwy 80, to the Motor Transport Museum, Hwy 94 and back along Old Hwy 80. We'll stop for lunch at Major's Diner in Pine Valley.


Bring FRS radios, with privacy codes, if you have them. A great help to keep in touch.

ohh thanks john but now im confused it says sunday 20 but you said see you saturday???? can you just confirm if its on sunday the 20 cause i really dont want to miss it. thanks john

The drive is Sunday. All the announcements are correct.


I at least remember where we're going, if not when.



Just ran the route yesterday. The roads are in good shape; the curves are sharp; the hills are steep; and the cliffs are ...

Uh, don't worry about that last item ... just follow the road and everything will be fine.

i just want to say that i attended the drive on sunday, it was my first time on a drive and i loved every part of it. i would encourage everyone to attend to the next drive it gets really fun.
