Talking -- Steve Kan Tuning Session in Northern VA - Jan 6, 2007 --

Steve's agreed to come for a tuning session, but I need five non-refundable deposits to make it official.

Date: Saturday, January 6, 2007
Tuning will begin at approx. 10 A.M. and run until everyone is complete, unless I get enough people for two days (7 or more).

Location: TBA, but it will be in the Northern VA area, probably around Stering, VA.

Anyone worried about running lean with the new Ethanol fuel should consider a re-tune as well. So here are the numbers everyone wants to know.

Payment Information:

Tuning:
- Deposit w/paypal: $105
- Deposit w/check: $100
- Total Tuning price: $350 - $100 deposit = $250 day of

Dyno: TBA shortly

Paypal - The944@aol.com

ALL DYNO TIME & DAY OF PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE IN CASH ONLY. Dyno tuning is not required, but is recommended. Compared to street tuning, dyno tuning offers safety, ease of diagnostics and you get to see what kind of numbers your car is actually making! Plus, I'm sure everyone's aware of Fairfax County cops, so there's a VERY high chance of getting pulled over if you're going to be attempting street tuning...

A few things you should consider doing before coming to the tuning session
- Oil change
- Coolant flush
---Replace spark plugs--- (a must)
- Fix all fluid leaks
- Tranny and diff oil change

Also, while Steve doesn't mind helping make minor adjustments and fixes, please remember Steve is here to TUNE, NOT spend hours fixing your problems. All persons signing up for tuning are expected to make the necessary arrangements to have their vehicles in optimal running condition PRIOR to the tuning session. Again, please remember THIS IS NOT A REPAIR SESSION. Should Steve have to spend more than 2 hrs on non-tuning related issues, each additional hour will be $100/hr extra.

Please sign up promptly, as the tuning session will not be finalized until five deposits are received in full. Spaces can fill up quickly. Please get them in ASAP to reserve your spot.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks
~Ramy

I am in. I will have a deposit sent to you via paypal soonest.

Only problem on my end.. I found out last night that I will *not* be returning home from my deployment on the 7th (originally planned on flying into the states from one of the cities in Europe). As a result of not being able to fly off early I wont be back until just before x-mas. I *will* have all my mods in place (even if I have to spend all of x-mas eve/day on the creeper under my car). I am talking to RP Performance right now to see if I can get in and out in time for the tune session (dropping my car off for wastegate port, 5th gear syncro and fuel pump upgrade).

If I miss it, than I miss it. I will still pay though..

At this point it would be easier for me if we could push the date back a couple days or a week. But I will see.. (I ****** HATE not being told about changes to my orders until last minute!~!!)

fendamonky, if time's tight, you can always postpone doing the 5th gear sychro, since it's not essential (just my $0.02).

Andrew, got ya. And hopefully I'll hear from Scott B soon too.

Dan, I'll get back to ya on that. I really never thought to ask Steve that. What ECU are you running?

FDNewbie - yeah, thats actually a pretty good idea.. I'll see what Bret thinks. Honestly my main worry at this point is getting into the DMV for plates and registration before they close for the holidays. If I can't get in before they close than I will have to wait to get started with RP until after New Years.. If thats the case than I probably will work it so I just pop in once for the Port and fuel pump, than again a week or so after the tune for the 5th gear.

Basically now I have nothing but time later on in the year.. but I will be pretty busy up until the 9th of Jan. I'll make it work on my end, even if I gotta run a couple drug deals *just a term.. not actual narcotics* to get **** done.. I have several officers and chiefs owing me *major* favors, so it should work out..

Either way, my deposit has been sent, and I will be there to deliver the additional $250 for Steve come the day of..

sounds tight though. I've always loved his prices.

I'm definitely in if you move this to mid-late Jan. The 6th is way too early in the year for me.

I've only received 1 deposit to date. If I don't receive 4 more deposits in the next few days, this won't be happening...

It's getting pretty late, and I only have 2 deposits, and it looks like Andrew and his friend won't be able to make it at present, so I don't think this tuning session is gonna happen at present time. We can always try again a lil later in the spring (or later in the winter if need be).

As for the 2 guys who paid (fendamonky and 2GSLSE), I know fendamonky was REALLY pressed on getting his car tuned prior to leaving the US. If you're interested, I can see if Steve will come out to tune only your two cars for an increased fee (to cover his costs). Is that something that would interest you guys? I can tell ya off the bat it would prob be double the regular fee...

i can wait on my car being tuned untill we can get a few others to step up. i thought everyone local would have jumped on this since i guess its too close to holidays or thier cars arent driven regularly and are put up for winter

I can wait as long as Feb 9th. After that I will have to pull out. I would love to get my car tuned before I go, but if it doesn't happen than it doesn't happen...

K lets see if we can get some interest in a month or so, cool?

I'll be initiating refunds for the 2 deposits I received.

Thanks,
~Ramy
