Val, you might want to start looking at your ignition switch itself. Similar problems I have seen in the past have started right there. The fact that headlights affect your ability to shut off your engine REALLY makes it obvious too. Once you turn that key back, there should be nothing telling your ECU to keep that engine running.

I will do that some time... what I have done now as an RX7 Tuner advised me is that the wires going to my headlights are fried and also the two wires from the headlight switch as well... so he suggested bypassing the area with a direct connection to my parking lights and headlights via an illuminated rocker switch that will have load from another constant source (Hot Lead) .. that is what i have done...
The black magic fan is running direct to an ignition source so it will always come on when i start the car... the thermostatic control module is a bit of a pain since it keeps the fan running long after I shut off the ignition... something i have to work on...

The short caused so much damage that it took out my convertible top motors not to work..

also the Sony radio is fried.. I was told that its the circuit board that is fried on my in dash Sony so now i have to buy a new radio.

Turn signals dont work either and in Miami where people tailgate and dont keep a safe following distance its bad news... well people here dont use turn signals anyway... but i always did .. so my eyes are on all the mirrors and my finger on the horn.. people here dont use horns in daylight hourse.. they would rather flash the high beams... which i find ridiculous.. you cant hear lights !

Hey I just happen to be in Miami this weekend (leaving from Gainesville tomarrow friday afternoon) seeing a friend who lives 11 minutes away! (according to map quest *ahem*) So count me in! My 7's nothing special and needs a bit of work but its gets me around and can make it to and from miami lol, thats something right? So see you all there!
