Thanks for all the kind words!

The car is now finished and pending delivery this weekend! Fingers crossed that it passes its OOP inspection for registration on Monday so that I can take it out for my first drive!

It's been 10 months since I purchased the vehicle at auction in Japan and I am excited to find out what all this time and money has made!

You are much more optimistic than I am......by which I mean I bet it will take me 10 years to put enough kilometers on the engine to need a new one

BC To the Mountains!

T. Word is your car was seen leaving Abbotsford heading East accompanied by ten local FD driving in "V" formation. These stories are hard to verify though. Beautiful weather for a hoon through the Rockies no doubt (see September Issue of Road and Track).

Dyno Runs

Now the car is at home the only thing between me and the highway is my OOP Inspection to get my plates..........Monday will be an interesting day!

Until then I have all day tomorrow to give the car a good clean and install some of the parts still lying around the house! I will update with photos once they are done.

In the meantime here is a short video for the duno runs that Taylor at ForceFed put together.

This was greatly appreciated by myself as I was unfortunately unable to be there to see the tuning

Enjoy!!!

Interior Finished....for now.....

Managed to find time to install the matching Bride Seat for the passenger side and changed the FEED floor mats to plain black.

The interior now looks complete and I am quite happy with the result

Only thing bugging me now is the faded panels, especially on the doors. I will add that to the list of things to tackle over the long winter!

No they fit really nicely alongside each door., even the shoulder bolster has about 2.5 inches of clearance.

However; as you can see in the photos, they are very tight against the the centre console making sliding the seat back and forth difficult. The drivers side isn't too bad but for some reason, I assume the shape of the console, the passenger is seat is very hard to slide forwards as the console widens.

But now that I have them in the right position I will never need to slide them so it's all good.

I will tell you one thing, buckets that recline = awesome

Yeah they are a really good looking seat and comfy too. Only downside would be that the high leg bolsters make getting in and out an "art" form.....the removable wheel helps a lot though!

The ease of access has definitely helped reduce the list of people waiting to go for a ride......lol

Thanks! I have to admit, I cannot take credit for that genius idea - Rob at ForceFed who rewired the whole damn car hid it and the Defi controller in there!

Pretty stoked about it as i was worried things would start looking way to cluttered, but i am very happy with my fighter jet style setup!

Yes, those are definitely on my radar......

I currently doing some hard thinking about wheels and suspension. The plan is to enjoy the car for the next ~4 weeks before the white crap gets here, but then i really need to work out how to address the ride quality.

Top priority is to address the stupid stretched rear tyres (285's on a 12" barrel!). I am assuming that correct non stretched sidewalls will be taller and will provide more cushioning and a smoother ride. But I think that if I put the correct size rubber on those rims I doubt they will fit anymore.

Option 1 - Is to see if i can remove/reduce the rear spacers and see if the lip pulls back under the arches.
Option 2 - Is to put the 11" fronts on the rear and get 9" or 10" for the front.
Option 3 - I may just have to get new wheels. Which would be a shame as those Advans look so nice! Also, I have no idea how much money I could expect to get for them. They are crazy expensive new but I figure most people won't want 20" rims.....

But the reality is that safety comes first!

20's are a tough sell on these cars. You're going to be MUCH happier (price and ride quality) with 18's. But you have all winter to mull over and make that decision.

Agreed 18" would be a huge improvement on ride quality and drastically reduces tyre cost.

I am just unsure as to how 18" wheels will look with that kit, nervous that they will look too small.....

I wish there were shops you could take your car to to try on different rims/tyres before you buy.

Maybe i need to get some Photoshop pics done to compare

Thanks for the kind words guys!

I really do love the way these wheels look, but my primary concern is safety, especially due to the stretched tires.

If my bank account can take it, the ideal would be to keep these for shows and get 18's for the road.....

No updates on the "build" as I will wait for the long winter downtime to work on the car.

Until then I intend to enjoy the weather and get in some driving time!

Went out with a friend yesterday to take some shots of the cars:
