HKS Twin Power Wiring - CONTRADICTING INFORMATION PLEASE ADVISE!
Just installed my Twin Power per the instructions from HKS. Seems to be running fine. I'm seeing contradicting information on the wiring from Banzai Racings web site. Can someone please advise?
The diagram from our site is directly from the instructions provided with the HKS Twin Power. Basically you have it wired correctly, you are just getting your power from the positive side of one of the trailing coils and HKS has it wired to the positive side of the Leading coil.

You mean im getting my power from the positive side of one of the LEADING coils, and HKS has it wired to the positive side of the trailing coils, right?
Bonzai, does hooking it to the positive of one side of the trailing coils change the trigger event from attaching it to the leading coil, or does it provide the same signal both ways?

Its just a power wire. The other three wires are the trigger wires.
The more I have thought about it. The only possible issue I can see to having the power wire to the leading is the draw on the circuit. The Leading is waste spark and fires both the leading plugs each time. The Trailing have individual coils with individual positives only fire half as much as the Leading coil pack.
Technically you could wire the positive from the HKS to the Black/Yellow wire supplying the power to the igniter and not have to be concerned about any voltage drop at the coil.

I will keep that in mind. Im getting tuned this weekend. If I'm experiencing any breakup, I'll try changing it over.
EDIT: mehh now after looking at the diagram i followed, i see that the part number is super old. I wonder if theres a reason they updated the wiring schematic. Im probably gonna change it to be safe, otherwise its going to erk me forever.

This is probably just in my head, but it seemed to make a significant difference. 1st and 2nd seemed way more torqier, stronger pulls. I dunno. I feel better now at least.
