Pic Request: 99 Spec bumper on RE widebodykit

Looked through many photos and im yet to find one.
I have ordered almost all the RE GT Amemiya widebodykit, except for the front bumper. Anyway the front bumper shipping alone costs more than $400.
I also feel that the front bumper is a bit too risky on bumpy roads and im looking for an alternative. Im currently on 97 bumper.

Any other good looking bumpers are appreciated.
(im more in favor of the 99 spec bumper)

I don't think I have seen that convo yet...

However I've seen the feed widebody with 99 bumper and it looked good. The only reason I mention it is because the feed has a resemblance to the RE.

Feed with the 99:

for comparison just the RE:

Another question is if the 99 bumper will the mate up with the RE fenders... The easiest way to find that answer is to look for a pic of the RE bumper fitted to a stock fendered FD.

Edit- looks like the RE GT bumper mates with the stock fenders just fine.

Thanks for the pics Montego.
I have seen those before, its quite strange that little to no pics of that specific combo exists.
The RE is by far the best looking kit alongside feed, but the 99 front end still looks the best.

Researching further i found that the R-Magic headlights do not look good with the 99 front bumper.
So will wait for a pic before i spend my money.

No problem & sorry I coudn't be more help.. I believe the reason is that many more people own the feed due to shine auto making very decent replicas (at a very decent price). And of course more owners = more variations.

Good luck!

The owner went from Stock front bumper to C-West. Yet to see a 99 Spec.

They do look good. Even i've got the same bumper. Planning on getting a 99 spec bumper, its more costlier than the rest of the aftermarket bumpers. Hence wanted to see the overall look before i bankrupt myself. Its Quite strange that i have never seen such a combo.

Feed fender, 99 bumper, and custom canards. More pics coming once engine is installed here shortly.

Personally believe the 99 bumper is the best for the FD, no matter what kit.

WORD! I was thinking the same 99 Spec with bubble tech canards for an aggressive look. I didn't know how it will look with the rest of the body, hence the pic request.

Do you have an oblique pic in which the front and sides are visible. (in good lighting). My only worry is if it will look good without lowering the car too much.

I did a quick Photoshop and realized that the RE bumper is better off.
The 99 Spec has a non aggressive look and does not compliment the wide body. Though it isn't bad, the RE looks much better, especially with the large wider canards.
Thank for the help everyone.

Is that even with additional aero? Even the RE Amemiya front covers that come with the widebody kit used to not be as aggressive, but have things like the splitter molded in now. Just curious as to if you are photoshopping a 99 spec bumper as is, or with canards, maybe a splitter? How aggressive of a look are you going for?

I will pretty soon run the 99 bumper with C-west body kit and post pics for reference. Just to add to the discussion, Shine Auto sells canards for the 99 bumper, which may make it look more aggresive, thus matching better with a body kit such as the Amemiya or the Feed one.

Here's a quick comparison, ofcouse the the bumpers may not be upto scale.

The bumper looks too small/less fierce/smaller vents on a wider body.
Even the
R-Magic headlights looks awful on 99 spec bumpers.
Yes the bubble-tech canards do help a bit, but still below par.
The Re-Amemiyas bumpers and Feed bumpers are better suited, maybe due to those vents in the bumper.
The TCP Magic bumper is very similar to 99 spec bumper but they have huge vents, so looks fine on a wide body.
99 Spec looks best on a stock FDs and on non-wide kits.
