anyone have experience with RX7store.net???

hello all,
i was recently on asaking questiong about fuel cells, but i think i'm going to hold off on that until i am further along my project. the new question is, does this kit look too cheap to be true?:
http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/extremefuel.htm

$625
for 2X1600 cc injectors,
a fuel pressure regulator
a secondary fuel rail
fuel press. guage
and various fittings and lines

i was under the impression that a single 1600cc injector might cost close to $625.

am i going crazy or is the deal of a lifetime? maybe the stuff is just really shitty? anyone have any experience with these products?

thanks in advance for the input.

rx7store has been around a long time and has good prices usually. However, they sometimes have a habit of selling you things that are not in stock, and then they are at the mercy of their suppliers. Most of the issues reported with them involve long wait and shipping times on some items. I have never had an issue because I always call them and ask to physically check stock before placing the order. You can check feedback in the good guy bad guy section at the bottom of the forum under the classifieds.

I believe the fuel that they sell is just KGParts stuff, so you can go directly to the source and cut out the middle man (aka longer shipping) and check stock with the supplier.

You can get just 1600cc injectors for as little as $55 each. I bought my 2 from a seller on ebay for about $108 shipped. You can put 1600s into a stock rail with a little custom modification of the injectors/orings. There is not really a need for an aftermarket rail, regulator, and lines, unless you are making mega hp. I am running around 325-350 at the wheels on stock FPR and lines and have room for plenty more.

that is about my hp goal as well, but i would imagine that $55 / injector is quite a deal. i'll have to keep my eyes out for prices like that as i thought i would be spending $500 for a pair or name brand 1600cc at least! what did you have to do to the injectors/ o-rings? file them down a bit?

well blow my *****! thoes are cheap as all hell!

you said you have 1600cc secondaries making around 350hp right?
do you happen to know what sort of peak duty cycle your secondaries see?

With stock primaries and 1600 secondaries at 8psi I do not exceed 50% injector duty cycle. I have enough fuel to do 400-425 at the wheels. The blue injectors are standard bosch, and are what I am running.

to make the bosch work, you remove the lower pintle cap and oring, and install a standard nippondenso style lower pintle cap and grommet, just like what is on your rx7 injector. At the top of the bosch injector there is molded plastic. You have to cut some of this off, slide on the stock upper grommet from your nippondenso injector, and use a hard plastic spacer or several small injector o-rings, to make up the difference. Once you have a stock injector from your rx7 laying beside the new injector you will see what has to be done.

I was not happy with my extreme fuel system kit from rx7store. It's not a "complete" no hassle kit. I'm not going to go into all the details right now. PM me if you want more information.

I was told that if you buy a Marren fuel injector from: http://www.injector.com that it drops right in.

Anyone else with that experience?

i dont think they have many (if any) products in stock, so there is usually a delay in getting your order. I ordered a KOYO radiator and it took almost a month to get it.. but i think they were pretty busy at the time. they probably just get a lot of business and are short staffed.

I still dont mind ordering through them, they have good prices, they are usually the first i go to for new parts

I can guarantee you that kit is complete and installs easy as long as you know what your doing. We have installed probably 100 of those in the past couple of years and never had an issue with any of them. I guess its possible the kit was missing a fitting as its comes with a lot of them, but we were never contacted about that. If you have questions about the install you can always call us about it.

I stock at least half the stuff I sell with some of it being drop shipped from distributers. If an item takes a while to ship then its something that is out of stock or on backorder. I typically will email the customer if its something I know is on backorder at the time. If a customer has a concern about an order feel free to call me.

Thanks
Jason

I've ordered many times from rx7store.net, and I've always received what I've asked for.

Their shipping about a year ago was terrible, but my most recent transactions have been quick and pleasant

I ordered from them and got my part very quickly all the way over here in Japan.
A+ in my book.

Now that's ironic...a guy with a japanese sportscar, for whom parts are generally cheaper in japan, living in japan where most US fanboys would love to live, ordering parts from a US based store.

I was about to order from them, but is their quoted shipping what they really charge?
I was going to order the efini key and a f/r brake pads, and that was $40 ground shipping. I've ordered pads before from other places, that just sounds pretty crazy to me.
Do they really charge that much for shipping?

The shipping on the site is not always accurate. Shipping on pads and a key to PA is around $12.

I think jasons view on ripping people off is definately distorted i would classify my experience with his company as bad buisness . though many of you have had positive experiences with his company , my 1st and only purchase was very negative and never materialized. He simply sent my money back after i waited almost 2 months for my merchandise [never asking me if a refund was acceptable] and when i questioned his buisness ethics , he conveniently closed the thread no hard feelings but it is what it is in my case. Refunding money to a dissatisfied customer DOESNT level off the playing field

Care to explain this transaction because I really dont know who you are or what the circumstances are behind it?

There would only be two reasons I would refund you prior to shipping. One is you asked to be refunded and the other is the item was discontinued.

Waiting 2 months for something is not uncommon depending on what the item is. I have 20 people waiting on 99 spec front bumpers that have been on backorder for 5 months. There are many items for this car now that are hard to get and take time or just on backorder from the manufacturer. That is the way this business is.

I dont see anything wrong with refunding you your money if its something that is on backorder and not sure how that is bad business? Care to explain that?

Some customers are just impatient people that want their item 2 minutes after ordering it for a car that is 15 years old. For those that are like that then take my recommendation and sell the car because you are never going to be satisfied.

Have you followed up by emailing me or PMing me on here? What was missing in the fuel system? If I owe you a refund then I have no problem doing that but need to know what your talking about.

i would ask a lot of questions; about the 1600s specifically. there are a few different ones out there (different color tops) and they are not all the same.

I don't think I would EVER buy a 1600 for $55 from a retailer... you get what you pay for.

I've only purchased one item from the rx7store.net but it went EXTREMELY well. The item arrived promptly and was what I was expecting. So I'd probably buy from them again.

i emailed you at the beginning of the year you didnt reply, i called you 3 times for this matter, you said you would do and you completely ignored me..
I asked you the third time
Should i wait on the phone until you do it? would you like to the send the money with paypal if its easier? you said its the same thing as refunding from your credit card. Im on it now as you said...guess youre still on it?

Its not any great amount but agreed price is agreed price. You didnt even inform me you would charge me extra for NO reason. i had to check my bank statement to find out u charged me $40 extra for shipping

I do understand that mistakes happen but being ignored is something i can not tolerate. I also do understand that u may get busy, but when you are receiving money you are never busy.

its your loss not mine anyway
some other shop is getting my money.

I would have remembered talking to you 3 times about the same thing and I dont remember this at all. Is this actually regarding a missing fuel system part or the shipping charges?
I checked my records along with my credit card refunds and I credited your card $40 on 1/2/08 for the incorrect shipping charges. If you need proof on my end then let me know, but you need to call your bank and check your records.
This isnt an issue on my end.

Here are the credit details just to clear this up.
