I've been in talks with a local customer looking to pick up a few things an actually has a set of the ones we made. We made very few of them, so they are hard to come by. Once i get a hold of them, I'm confident I can get these to work the 2nd time around.

I will be making them in 2 pieces to retain the original oem look.

I haven't check back here in a bit, but this is awesome news. I would definitely be in for a set. With the reinforcements to reduce flex, is this something I could paint and then have repainted down the line, or would I need another set for when I repaint?

2 piece

Hey Ken,

I'm not sure how vendor accounts work, but perhaps give some thought to posting these in the vendor classifieds or 3rd gen group buy (or perhaps a new thread in this subforum?). I have a feeling not that many people check in here that often because you guys have been so busy doing other things. I think there is a lot of potential interest in this product, much more than appears in this thread.

Hope you make these!!

Can't work off the oem sides. We can only work off the sides we used to make.

I had your parts for my AE86. From my experience with your quality and excellent customer service, I am definitely in for a set of OEM 99 style skirts FD. Please find a way to get these reproduced.

So who all is interested in this again? I know Ken/Shine is having complications getting hold of his originals, but while he does that I thought we could generate a new list of buyers. Add yourself in!

I don't think he's going to get one of his original replicas...but couldn't hurt. I'd buy if these came into production.

What the hell happened to Shine's website? My computer keeps bringing up grand mighty forums whenever I punch in their address. Anyone know what happened or is it just my computer being a dick?

I am getting the same thing.

Guys, I emailed Ken and he said he's not sure who has the originals for him to replicate. I am going try to track down people from the previous group buy. If you know of anyone who has a pair from the first batch, see if you can get them to let Ken use them to reproduce these. Let's make this happen!

Based on prompting from Law I am in communication with Shine regarding providing my side skirts to use to make new improved molds.

Someone may want to coordinate a group buy on these with a deposit to make sure that this stays on Shines radar as a profitable venture.....

Awesome news! Somehow I thought it was going to be near impossible to get one, but apparently not the case. I'm down, I just hope people get to see the GB thread, I'm sure a lot of people would want this too. So any of us can start a GB thread on this or how does it work?
