I finally painted mine after two years
If i didnt have a freind that did body work, it would have cost me over $1K to get finished (not including the skirts themselves which i spent $350 on)
My neighbor spent over 45 hours refinishing these skirts. He did not have to mount them on the car to get painted. He was able to paint them off the car using this new flex primer he found
Needless to say, i will not be parting ways my OEM side skirt set up

This is dead right? I thought Ken said he threw away the molds. Someone that bought the replicas from him the first time needs to pony up the goods and let him remake them please

As an update, I exchanged emails with Ken on this.
He says that my paint would be trashed if he were to use mine for the new molds.
He also explained how to fix the twist issue so I can install mine.
So what he is looking for is an unpainted set of the original batch of Shine skirts (not real OEM).

How much did it cost to paint them? Maybe we could factor the repaint into the price of the product since I'm sure there would be at least a dozen + people who wouldn't mind paying a few extra dollars to get it done.
Wonder if an unpainted Shine skirt even exists..

Also, Ken (if you're reading) would these be 1 piece? Rather than OEM 2 piece?

I'm sure if this thread was in a move visible place, say the 3rd gen section, we could get a lot of interest going, but I'm not sure if that's "legal" or not. It would be a sweet addition to what Shine offers for the FD IMO.
