I'll see how well everything goes. When I called them on the phone to order my kit they told me they only had one full kit; bumpers,skirts, fenders, and undertray in stock. I was going to wait till after I took my recent purchase (Rx-7) to Mazsport to a estimate for repairs and performance modications, but I did not want to have to wait till Shine could make another one. Ill keep a posting of how the order process goes. So far they were friendly and seemd to ship my parts with urgency. Total cost 2100 for whole kit.

To any tire guru's out there,

I need to get the tire setup for my car. For the kit I ordered CCW Classic wheels, and the guys made me a set of 18X11 with 7.50 backspacing and 18X10.5 with 7.25 backspacing on it, if I did my math correctly that should be +38 offset in the front and rear wheels. They recomended me to run a 315/30 18 in the rear with a 285/35 18 in the front. My question is will these tires fit the kit well with the wheel setup? I dont really want to stretch the tires and I dont want them to rub either. The bad part of the whole ordeal is that I will not be present with my car, I am currently deployed to Iraq and will be going back to my homestation in Japan. My car is in the hands of AsianMotorsports in Fort Worth who is doing all the bodywork, and I want to get an idea if the recomended tires will work or if I should go down a size or two. Thanks in advance.

 

^ That sounds sick , would love to see pics of that with the wheels on the car in those sizes.... but I don't know aboutt that off set. I am no wheel expert. Is the front and rear + 38 offset, wonder what that would give you as a lip. I can say, if CCW recomended it, they are probably right . They know what they are doing.

 

All I did was give John from CCW the KS-Auto wheels specs and he said he would leave the lip the same as the KS car, he would just extend the width of the wheel inboard.

 

oh gotcha. I was wondering about that, because some like to go deeper lip when they go wider. It is going to look nice. great choice of wheel. what color is your car, and wheel you chose?

Also, for you guys that are running 19" wheels, what tire sizes are you using?

 

im running a 245-35-19 in the rear a 215-30-19 front super stretched set up

thinking i could have ran a 255 rear and a 225 front and would have been fine just that my wheels had a +32 off set and wouldnt clear the body...clears fine now with the burnout kit though

 

so yours are 19x9 +32 and 19x10 +32?

The thing I am worried about is having the kit dwarf the wheels. It looks like you could even bump them out another 5mm with running normal sized tires on it.

I would say that you could do 285 easy in the rear and 255 fronts.

 

yea +32 all the way around...thinking bout running a 1 inch wheel adapter in the rear to fill the gaps...who know's just trial and error from here, wanted to go stretched on the tires so i can slam the **** out of it...

 

Are you sure? SSR/Tanabe doesn't have a +32 in either 19x9 or 19x10:

While I have seen slighly different offset specs for the US (Tirerack) models for any given Speed Star Racing model compared to JDM models, Tirerack does list 19x9 +31 and 19x10 +37 as their fitment for the 350Z (which is my understanding of what you originally had the wheels fitted to). Really hard to get them to sell you any other offset/size combo for a given app, unless you have a business relationship with them.

When I finally get the widebody stuff on I dont plan on slamming it down. The problem is that the way the rear bumper cuts back, if you slam it then it will look like it is dwarfing the wheel. Also, slamming it makes the car look 'flat'. I am probably going to keep my current ride hight. I might just get spacers for my wheels until I am happy with the exact fitment and then order a custom offset that will work perfectly.

I hear that summit sells a tool that bolts to your hub and will tell you exactly how much space you will have

 

btw- does anybody know what mirrors the burnout kit is using? They look like M3 knock offs but cant find who makes em. Would want to fill in the turn signal light though.

How much wider are the fenders compared to stock? The Feeds are +25 front, +20 rear.

I see how you guys are wanting to tuck some 18 or 19's in the wheel wells... I want to do the opposite. I was wondering if I could get by with the front fenders and 16x8 and 16x9 rear in enkie RPF1's? I want it to be slammed and handle, not really into big wheels since I sold my supra and it drank tires like I drink beer lol.

 

no you should not do that...you could damage an apex seal.

You should not run 16's with a body kit and the overfenders would be completly swallow up your already measly 16x8 in wheels with generic offsets.

You could pull off a 99spec with those sized wheels but the burnout wouldnt look right with anything less than a 18" wheel.

 

Hey guys.... I apologize, but I've been totally out of the loop on the threads. Things have been pretty hectic lately, but I have been able to answer all pm's as thorough and fast as I can.

I will tell you one thing though. It will be kind tough trying to put 11's in the rear unless it's a high offset.

We had a customer with the rear flares try out a pair of 19x11's + 22 and they stuck out a bit. Im sure 10.5 +22 would be just about right.

Burnout rear flares are suppose to be 20mm wider than stock.
