FC3S Type 1 front bumper fitment

Hi all,

I recently picked up a type 1 front bumper and have a question for either Shine or those whose installed the part.

For the most part, the bumper fits surprisingly well and seems to be of really good quality. There are a few areas that will need repair (frp is thin and weak where the bumper meets the fender). The only issue I'm encountering is how to attach the bumper where it overlays the fender). The front fenders curve in waaaaay farther than the bumper can and I'm a little lost. Even if I fab brackets, it looks like the fender and bumper would just rub against each other in several spots (making noise).

Side note: my car has never been damaged and all of the body panels are straight. I've attached some pictures for reference. Posting from my phone so I apologize if the pictures are huge.

The bumper is designed to sit lower than your factor setup, so it is not unusual for there to be some overhang as shown. This is how after-market bumpers get an aggressive look.

I appreciate the reply. I figured as much, I guess my main concern was the bumper rubbing against the OEM fender and making noise or rattling.

I guess I'm a little disappointed. During the test fitting process, cracks appeared where the sides of the bumper wrap around the fender (I was extremely gentle when checking the fitment and had a professional body guy with me). In addition, this particular bumper seems to be very rigid with little flex, making it prone to damage. At this point, I'm wondering if I recieved an old stock piece as there's not even a "shine auto" label on the bumper like some of their other parts I've seen.

By no means am I trying to state that Shine puts out poor quality parts as the sideskirts I have are great. I'm just a little frustrated with how fragile this bumper is compared to the claims shown online.
