Sevenstock 10...

I started a thread a little while ago at http://forums.rotarytuner.com/showthread.php?t=sevenstock about sevenstock 10. I havent heard any updates on the dates/places. I would assume it will be at Mazda's HQ again?

Anybody have any idea of the time and place?

Hopefully this thread will be updated with a time and a place...

Sept 21-23, 2007 for SevenStock-10. Things are moving to have it in the same location as SS-9... Mazda Corporate HQ (Not R&D like SS4-SS8)
Look for the official word soon

Sometimes there are other factors at hand besides weather in the planning of an event this large. I'm sure the guys are working to bring you the best event possible.

My best friend lives in Newport Beach CA, I live in CT, he moved out there a few years ago. We've been planning for two years now for him to fly out to JFK, I'll pick him up and we'll drive out to CA for SS10. My wife will fly out for the show then we'll stay for a week or two for vacation before flying back to CT and I'll just ship the car back. With the price of gas, food, lodging and titty-bars, the cost will probably be about the same.

Allow me to paraphrase a conversation I had recently w/him via e-mail/aim. Don't worry, this all has a point. More of a subtle suggestion, maybe.

ME: Clear your calender the week of 09/17 - that's when we're driving out!!!

Him: Cool, I'll do it right now.
time passes
Him: I guess there aren't many Jewish Rotorheads!

ME: Why would you say that?

Him: Yom Kippur is that Saturday.

ME: &

Him: Dude... holiest day of the year!

ME: &

Him: I have to check with the wife

ME: *****

Him: You're married, you know what that's about.

ME: *****

So SS10 is on for sure this year?

I'm seriously considering making a road trip and I need to start planning as it'll be a good 28 hours of driving either way...

I remember the dude who hit the deer, poor guy.

I made it all the way from Australia!

28hours driving? Pah. I got 28hours of flying stuck in a cramped seat to look forward to!

The girlfriend and I will be there again this year! Had a ball, gotta get more T-shirts and raffle tickets this time though!

See ya there!!!

There's dedication. Flying halfway around the world. Hopefully I can convince a few other east coast guys to make the the 3 day drive out.

Some of us in Houston are thinking of road-tripping, if it works out we gotta hookup.

Mazda's Corporate HQ is in Irvine, Cali.

I been searching the net trying to find a rental dealership that has RX8's so I can cruise around in style while i'm there.

Not having any luck so far, looks like i'm gonna have to stick to the pontiac G6 i had last time :O(

I grabbed a room at the Hilton Irvine last time too, was a nice enough hotel just near the HQ, recently refurbished, cost $99/night during Sevenstock then cost $200 a night after the Sevenstock deal, which was rather expensive for what you got!

Will have to wait for further details from the Sevenstock organizer's before I decide on accomodation.

Would love to have my 7 there, but costs WAY too much to bring out from Australia. ha Ha

even the $99 per night wasn't a great deal(first SS i went to i stayed at the Hilton and wasn't impressed), considering the room we got just down the street was a suite with full kitchen for $99 per night($69 for me but $99 for everyone else) with a seperate bedroom and in the living room it had a couch and recliner. (thanks Shaun!)
