For the 16th consecutive year, the Phoenix rotary enthusiasts will be organizing a caravan to Sevenstock. This year's event, SSXX, celebrates the 20th year that the SoCalRX club has held the event, and it's the 50th Anniversary of Mazda's first production rotary car, the 1967 Cosmo Sport. We're hoping to break our previous I-10 caravan record of 35 cars.

This event is already shaping up to be the biggest one yet, with VIPs coming from all over the world as well as a large contingent of rotary legends from Japan. Get your vacation requests IN and mark your calendars for Friday, November 3rd, 9 am for departure to California Speedway in Fontana, CA and Sevenstock 20!!! Like to get some photos of the group this year, a few years back know some were taken but I never got to see those or the video that was taken. It does seem like a good group already lined up so the opportunity should not be missed. For the still shots if I can improve on my skills in time remaining will take some, for the road photos need someone with a navigator....
Have you given this any thought?

 

Great ideas Stever. Agreed, we could use some FOCUS on determining who's taking pics/videos and assign a point person. I know that last year Andy (rotary13b1.com) asked for some FB or IG live streaming while we caravanned. With all of my busy activity leading up to the event, the ball got dropped on that one. Hopefully since we've gotten an earlier start this year with planning we can make it happen! Appreciate your feedback!

I'll be joinging the caravan half way . Im located in palm springs. So the I10 rolls through my hood
How should I set this up with you guys ? Wait by the freeway like a creep and merge in once I start seeing smoke clouds from I10 east?

 

That's one way . Another is to PM me your cell info. We usually stop at I-10 and Ramon road to gass up and grab food at In and Out, Del Taco, Carls Jr or Mc Ds. I'll ping you when we're getting close to that location!

 

I'll shoot my info over
