ZOOM-FEST, Mazda Festival - July 19-20th in Georgia
ahhhh yeah. Man you are going back at least 10 years ago now. Time flies, we are having too much fun.
Now back to you regular programming..... Come out to Zoom-Fest July 18th to 20th. A group of rotorheads plan to camp out on Friday night. Memories will be made.

I got out my tent this morning and put it up to check it out. All is good, I haven't had it up since Sebring in 2002. So if anyone wants to camp out and don't have a tent, I'm bringing mine up on Friday night. I may not end up camping up there, but it will sleep up to 3 people.

i wonder if this is worth driving up there to camp....what days is everyone camping and what time are you guys arriving to the track? Is it a bring your own food type deal? or are we all bringing something and having it cookout style?
I am camping out Saturday night. I plan on arriveing at about 7 am sat morning. getting signed in finding a place to set-up shop etc... Anyone have a specicfic area they want to meet up at and party, or camp?
I cannot hold still. less than 6 days till we have a great meet

Once you get in just follow the signs. You will not be able to miss the pace

We have set up where it will all be in the same spot.

im getting the SA ready today or tomorrow. billy and i are going to run around all day friday to get everything set up. IIRC, you guys can come down friday and camp if youd like. a lot of people are camping, but im a puss so ill be driving the 5 miles back to my apartment
that doesnt mean i cant "celebrate" with you guys though. i still havent gotten drunk since my 21st birthday 4 months ago.

I'm not sure if you are all aware of this but the event is held in conjunction with an SCCA race weekend. The link to the schedule is below. In short, there is qualifying all day Sat. and racing all day Sun. (except for the Sun PDX during quiet time) including an endurance race Sun. AM. The paddock will be packed with SCCA so I'm not sure where the Zoom stuff will be held, maybe in the new paddock or in the back part of the track.
From experience, you may get black flagged during quiet time if your car is much louder than stock. Sound is typically checked on the back straight and front straight so short-shift there is you are worried.
I'll be bringing up the rear of the Spec Miata classes in #54.

Hey Ray, I cleaned m engine bay up a little bit as per your request. No where NEAR as good looking as yours but you think you can bring the bumper and cowl panel up to zoom fest? Or is all your space reserved for drinks, tents, chars, and whatnot?

That does it, no racing for me! Chris I will bring them along, shouldn't be a problem.
Hey Donnie I'll by you a birthday beer too!
