Damn, get some better drivers for those Z06's lol. They are supposed to make AT LEAST low 12 second passes in their sleep.

I consider 12.2 @ 122 a very good result for someones's first time ever at the track with a 500+ hp car on 19 inch low profile tires. I am sure the magazine editors ran several times and posted their very best results in the articles. After all, that's why GM lets them rag on it. They are also pro drivers with years of experience. Now when this guy does low 11s with drag radials at his 2nd time ever at the track I bet no one will complain....
It's a $65k bone stock car!

Yeah. A 360 whp FD would be a good run if it can hook up.

Very nice. I wasn't worried. Your car is very fast. A 124+mph FD is a low 11 second car with some ET streets. The Z06 would need some mods to get there.

Thanks. I think the only mods a C6 Z06 needs for low 11s are drag radials and a good driver. In retrospect, maybe I should have stayed on the gas on all the runs (my wife was pretty pissed) but I felt really bad that I redlit. Next time I will not let off for anything and I don't care if I get kicked out.

nice vids........we have to all go up to moroso again before it gets too hot. a Friday night test and tune would be nice. sometime after Jan 28th, cause thats when my baby will be tuned.

i liked your wife's excitement in one of the runs when you abused one of the muscle cars....i think it was the mustang.

Why did you keep braking BEFORE you reached the finish line?

The main reason is that I did not want to get kicked out of the track again for going too fast without a roll cage. I had to sign "no 11s" on the tech sheet, and last time I didn't care and went as fast as I could, and got sent home after five deep 11 second passes. The only safety item I have is a dirtbike helmet, and I wanted to get several good runs against the $83k Z06 before possibly being booted. Some of his starts were so bad there was no point in me "breaking out".

i took a 621whp GN in my 457 awhp evo. they arent that hard to beat. too damn heavy. BTW, this was at Grand National weekend at Bowling Green, KY. and many of the GN guys saw it happen. Then i got tore up by a 600 whp (claimed) 03 cobra... go figure.

I'm sure traction was an issue. My Syclone can take almost ANYTHING to 60 mph, and it's bone stock. The Grannies have a hard time hooking up sometimes, especially with so much power. Why don't you try it from a 60 mph roll?
