FL WPB mechanic suggestions?

Hi All,

I'm looking for suggestions for a shop that can maintain my '88 vert. I don't need a tuner really, just a shop that has some experience with RX-7s for day-to-day stuff. I'm in Palm Beach County.

Thanks!

- Paul

I believe Pettit racing is pretty close to you.

They are, but they're probably too high-end for what I need. I'm not looking to do any mods right now. I just need basic stuff like brakes, checking out the weird rattle from the engine bay, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion, though. When and if I get around to an engine swap or other upgrades, they're #1 on the list!

There a few good guys down south of you
Namely Edgar of Mazdapros in Hollywood
He can help you, worth the drive from WPB, and used to work Pettit Racing.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I was really hoping to avoid driving to south Broward for routine stuff, but I guess I may not have a choice.

Mechanic

Pettit will do minor changes to full blown 20B conversions. They are a full service shop. Give Cam a call he would be glad to help.

All Petit will do is empty out your Wallet esp on Dyno Day.
Sure he's good but he will most definitely sell you stuff you don't need!

I would only recommend Pettit if doing a engine rebuild and its not bc he's the best but because he's licensed and insured. Very important thing to remember with these Rotary Mechanics. Anyone remember John Zetner or Chad with ASI?

And do not go to Ruff Racing, hes in the same boat as above!
