The group is growing. What do we want to do when we meet? eat some dinner/lunch or just talk? we could have a install meet if anyone needs help with anything.

 

yeah we could for the first few times just get up with each other and maybe go for a drive. right now its getting dark so early i say meet up here in statesville, we could meet at my house and then once everyone is here we could grab some food. then we could go for a drive. i would like to meet here so we dont have to worry about people bitching and getting ran off from some where.

Im down to help any one who needs any so if someone needs help speak up. pretty sure between all of us we got the tools on hand or can get them no problem.

Man, I would love to do something this weekend. BUT, the wife has been yelling something about spending all my weekends hanging out with my friends, riding bikes, or working on cars. I think she wants some wifey time this weekend. I know it's supposed to be like mid 60s Saturday and Sunday. So, if you guys decide to do it this weekend, I may not be able to make it.

 

hey guys. i live in King which is about seven miles north of winston. i have an 80 SA and i would love to meet up sometime. The only thing is that it wont be in drivable condition for a while while i get together funds for a RB exhaust and i have to get new tires, bleed brakes, get insurance, feul sending unit, radiator will be in in a week or two, so it will probably be around the end of february before i will be out on the road. maybe if this becomes a regular thing then i can come out.

 

Well it was good to meet Bob, Shawn, and Sam today. After Bob and Shawn left, Sam showed up. We got Roberts SA running pretty well and also met another guy with an 83 LE, I forgot his name. There is an AutoX at NTI, exit 36 off i77, I will be there. Anyone else think they can make it?

 

the other guy is David, yeah he has some nice toys, and just not 7s LOL. so eric you like that streetport with the 48 jets?? i had it rev to 7500 after leaving davids. im getting antsy about the autox. not sure if i will drive the car down there but maybe, but i will definitly be there.

 

Ughhhh, dude! You didn't call me back and let me know how the 48 jets worked for you. Maybe I'll hear from you tommorow. So, whats this about an AutoX of exit 36?

Sunday is open to public, Saturday for NTI students only (novice school). register at about 8am but get there early is perfered. I havent been to an NASA event but I went to the 2 other SCCA CCR event this year and it turn out to be a good layout.

 

Hey guys! I don't live in Charlotte but I'm on a work assignment for 9 months so its pretty much as good. I'm not sure if I'll bring it back here but I'm buying a R2 down in Texas in 2 weeks. It'll either go home or not. I'd but up for a few meets and maybe a cruise out to the Tail of the Dragon which sounds badass.

i think some of the guys want to meet more down I77 rather then in statesville. but if you think about it statesville is the crossroads. if we could get a decent group we might get people from hickory charlotte, winston salem, salisbury, morganton. heck all those are within a hour of there and its all interstate to get there. if we meet more toward huntersville we might lose others. just an idea.

 

hey guys, I'm down in Columbia but I'll be moving to Charlotte in a few months. Until then, I'm up there every other week or so and would love to meet up sometime.

Also, I didn't think this called for a new thread, but I wanted to mention that there's a nice looking black s5 turbo for sale on Sharon Rd between Harris and Independence. I noticed it over the weekend out in front of some place called Intense Motorsports(?), which appears to be a rotary shop or something, judging by their logo. It has some aftermarket rims but otherwise looks stock, maybe they just rebuilt the motor? Go check it out!

 

Keeping it in Statesville seems like that would be best. Worst case, we are about 15-30 minutes from about everywhere. That way we are in the middle of most who want to come up. If we all get together one day and decide to go somewhere else, we would give others the optoin of making the extra drive.

Ok guys. Haven't heard any updates on Sunday. Check the local weather. High- 36, wintery mix by noon. But cheer up, Saturday supposed to be 49 and sunny.

 

Damn, I never knew so many rx7's were even around here, Im in statesville too, but Id like to come out too. I know a few guys that might want to come out to so just set a time and Ill be there.

 

not sure if they run in the rain, arockrx7 told me he was heading to raliegh on sunday so he had not check the forcast for the autocross. I know sam is planning on working on the parts 81 car to get the motor running and i know arockrx7 wants to measure some stuff on his car so if anyone wants to meet up in statesville my house is open any time after i get off work. DoriFCto pm if you want to get up saturday afternoon, im located on 64 just east of i40 and i77 intersection. well you guys pm me and ill work somthing out.
