Well... it's time for a rebuild finally.

Drove my 7 to charleston yesterday and everything was great got 28 mpg on the way down there. Around summerville on the way back i start noticing some weird hesitation every couple of minutes, but i'm still 170 miles from home so i keep going.
By the time i'm in orangeburg it's happening 2-3 times a minute and by columbia it's happening so much that the cruise control won't stay on. Well still 100 miles to go so i keep going. Then around clinton it's happening so bad that i can't keep my speed above 75 mph. So i dropped down into 4th and drove the rest of the way home at 4500 rpm Well she made it home, so i pulled into my driveway and parked and she decided to puke up about half a gallon of coolant right on my driveway. it was too dark to see last night at 11:30, so i'll have to take a look at the damage today after work. On the plus side it never got hotter than normal, so i'm hoping its still in good shape.

Bridge port is reliable as long as you dont drive it.

WOOOHOOO! no need to rebuild quite yet! turns out the gas I got down in charleston was crap. they probably put something in it, so everybody avoid the shell station at exit 177 in harleyville. my neighbor saw me looking at it yesterday after work and came over to find out what i was doing. i told him what happened and he said that the same thing happened to him 3 weeks ago. so we drained the tank and the fuel system, swapped out the fuel filter and filled her back up and reprimed the system. She started right up and ran GREAT. seriously the best she's ever run!! yay for smart neighbors!

^^ Glad to hear it! It sure woulda sucked to do a rebuild then put the motor in only to find out you only needed good gas. It does suck that you spent like $3 a gallon on that stuff only to have it turn out to be bad and have to re-fill the tank.
