Should we start a pool on how long it will take to get it back on the road and then how long the engine will hold? I don't want anything to happen to it but, I want to see the pictures of the miata pulling it home.

I picked up the gslse today. Took 4 of us to get the calipers broken free so that the wheels would turn to get it down the driveway. Got it home filled it with gas and got ......nothing. The fuel pump is shot. Probably locked up since it hasn't been cranked in 7 years. Got a new one coming in tomorrow morning. We'll see what happens then.

Anyway, I'm glad the beast can finally be finished and you can terrorize the old neighborhood again.

lol, that reminds me of the time Minda's 7 had to tow the Jeep home. Anyone remember what i did with that walbro i had? i either gave it to someone or put it in one of the boxes in my RX-7. I don't remember, it's been so long. I ended up going with a gsl-se pump instead. If I still have it, i'll give it to you guys so you can save some coin. i don't think you would need an FPR to use it on a SE.

I did pay him off. I visited it over the weekend, and he still hasn't gotten it started. There are still a couple things he needs to do before he re-starts on my car. I guess he figures it took me over a year to pay him, so I can wait a couple more weeks.

Ha! No, it took me over a year to pay him off, and he hasn't charged me a dime in storage fees, so I can't really complain. Plus, it's not like he's taken on new work since I paid him off. It's the same projects that he's working on still. He doesn't do this full time anymore. Nights and weekends.

that was pretty much my response when he called me to tell me the good news. As for the motor... I dunno man, probably depends on whether or not it starts today.

I don't believe it. When it's sitting in my driveway, then i'll believe it. What are you going to have supporting that huge front lip? Looks like not much right now
