Trainmission Slipping

i just bought an 88 gxl (auto) and it slips pretty bad im going to be buying a turbo II motor and trany but i wont have the money for about another month or so and im going to have to wait for it to be shiped, so in the mean time do any of u have any suggestions on what i can do to lessin the slipping or stop it completely ty

ckeched your ATF level yet? i know these tyrannis sklip like all hell theres realy no way to get rid of it with out a 5spd swap.
