tow away service in chapion sc

Does anyone know a tow away service in or around chapin sc that will pick up a car and just get it out of my yard. I does not have a title or an engine, but it does have most of the interior parts. I was going to build a track car with it but it will take way to much time that I dont have so I need it gone. I am willing to pay, but I have seen some places that will just pick it up and call it a day, but I can not find the websites anymore.
Thanks,
-Philip

I don't know about SC, but here in Florida, you can call a wrecker company and tell them there is a car in your yard you need towed away. They just have you sign a paper saying that you authorised it to be towed. The wrecker company then looks up the vin and notifies the last registered owner by certified mail that his car has been towed and if they want to get it, they have to come and pay the towing and storage fees. If no one claims the car, it is put up for auction to the public, giving the owner or anyone else a chance at buying the car. If no one still claims it, the wrecker company has two options they can do. If the vehicle is in good shape (runs or able to be repaired to running condition) mechanicall and body wise, they can go through the state DMV to get a title for it. If they car is junk or not road worthy, they can get a COD (certificate of destrucion) which states that the car must be parted out/destroyed. They then will usually sell it to a local pick a part yard.

Hope this helps.

I had 3 cars towed away this way. I loaded them down with all the junk I didn't need around the garage(old parts, batteries, tires, etc) and called them to do a tow away. They don't mind the extra parts and stuff, it will all get recycled.

Later,
Bill

I think the national kidney foundation accepts cars and whatever they get for it goes for a good cause. Also a tax credit...
