Anybody interested in a Steve Kan tuning session in the next 1-3 months in NE Florida? I'm setup to go elsewhere but if there is enough interest I will wait for Steve.

Very interested but cannot guarantee that I can make it, no matter what the date. My schedule is to chaotic to attempt to line it up until about a week out.

Get the 5 deposits and a date, I'll be there as an "extra" if I can.

Gainesville in January would work for me. Steve is in Alabama late January, maybe we could tag onto that trip.

Anywhere in central FL works for me. Anyone have a Dyno they care to recommend? Need to be near a major airport for Steve.

We have 3, maybe. RXspeed7 sounds serious but Gringo Grande, who is very active on this Forum, has not expressed interest since Sept..

 

having set up a couple of tunning sessions i can offer this to you:

Set a specific weekend to tune, usually three months from when you post
Contact the dyno shop, most will have no issues with it because its 3 months away, but explain to them that you are tunning rotary's and make sure that they are willing to stay late (Trust me, the last three tunning sessions all went past midnight)
Have people commit and send deposits, as you stated (Five min)
once all the deposits have been set, steve will confirm date, he needs at lease a month so that gives you 2 months to get the deposits in
once steve is confirmed, book the date with the dyno shop

if you dont set a specific date and location, this thread will go nowhere fast. you can search this section and see how many others have started threads like this and they have gone nowhere. again, just offering my advise.

Once we get a list of 5 people committed, we can contact Steve, agree on a weekend then send deposits (i believe a Saturday would be best to tune). Then we contact the shop and schedule. (Japtrix in WPB ok with you guys?) I think we should set this up for sometime late February/early March.

I would prefer central FL. If I have to drive 4 1/2 hours to S. FL I might as well drive a few more and go to the Birmingham AL session in Jan. The sooner the better for me.

 

Ok, what are our options as far as shops in Central FL then? My car wont be ready until the end of January.

 

I don't think the shop should be a limiting factor as long as it is a major metropolitan area. Orlando is reasonably central and has easy flight access. Let's worry about getting 5 cars and pick a central location for those people.
