GA Speed for Sale: good reviews?

Hi folks,

I've been a member of rx7club for a little while, and i'm looking to buy an FD rx7. I'm from Canada, and looking to bring one north for a summer car. I've been looking at one advertised by speedforsale.com.

Has anyone from this forum done any business with them? My concern is that I'll have to purchase the car unseen, other than whatever photos are provided. I wanted to ask around and find out if their legit and honest or not.

Please reply to the thread, or pm me with info and experiences. Thanks in advance,

Matt

I have bought a used single turbo off Djseven (speedforsale) user name.. He has done alot of business on here. David would answer every Pm i sent him and was very helpful and honest. The parts i received was as described, and was sent out quickly. Everything was great. He is a stand up guy.

Here's my feedback on him and somebody else posted a good review also, i'm sure he has more feedback on here, just try searching his user name. You'll see that he has sold lots of stuff on here.

We have sold cars to customers in Dubai, Norway, and multiple countires in South America. In fact over the last yr I have only met face to face with 1 of the customers I have sold an fd to. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call on my cell phone at pretty much anytime. 865-385-5622. If you call today or within the next couple days forgive me if I dont get back to you immediately if I miss the call. I have been extremely sick with the flu the last 3-4 days.

David (djseven) is a good seller & buyer. I would have no worries about buying a car from him.

I had an odd deal with them. I tryed to buy a rx7 from them about 4 months ago. I sent the depost as requested ($1000) over night ($18) and everything looked like it was going to go ok when I got a call.... Aparrently some guy was serious about buying it and was suppose to send a depost a week ago but it never showed up. Until about 2 or 3 days after my depost. They said they were going to sell it to him and refund my depost, which they did. I just felt that it was a little unfair that i got the shaft. mine depost got their first so it was mine! thats what a depost means and he didnt credit me for overnight delivery, I found it odd he wanted me to overnight him the check but he didnt make the other guy and yet the other dude got the car. The most interesting part of it was after the deal was over on the first car he told me that the car wasnt that great and I could get something better just give him some time, which was exactly the oppisite of what he said when i was buying the car.

This was one of my deals, and again sorry for the mixup. The other gentleman that was interested in purchasing the vehicle was in Iraq. He had contacted me regarding the vehicle and said that he would send a deposit. After several days without a deposit and no contact I figured I would never hear from him again (This is common and happens all the time). Took a deposit from mazdadude7 and the next day the first gentlemans deposit arrived. After the deal on the first car was over you mentioned the red PERFECT condition low mileage car that I have and said you might want to save up untill you can afford to purchase one like that. You had me keep your deposit for an additional 2 weeks to see if we could find you another car that you like, sorry it didn't work out but I am glad to see you did end up purchasing an FD. Please PM me your address and the amount of your overnight shipping cost and I will have a check in the mail this afternoon, as i did tell you i would refund your expenses.

Generally our vehicles sell very quickly and it is sometimes hard when you have multiple people fighting over your cars.

Thanks very much for all the feedback. Judging from the majority of posts, i'll be seriously considering SFS when i'm ready to purchase.

haha... I see the gf gave you a Valentine's Day present early. My car will prob. burn to the ground this weekend for saying that. Hope you get to feeling better man.

BTW, David @SFS is a very honest guy to deal with. Their reputation speaks for itself.

Yep, exactly what D. Garfinkle said above! I did not buy my FD there but I was looking for a special FD.
I have seen some go thru there I would have had to think about if I did not have mine. Who knows one day I might sell mine and want another one, and that is one place I will be looking.
