Zero if you still haven't made it to Wellington I am going this week. I wish I read this earlier I was up there the last 2 weeks, it is where I am buying the car from. I will be going back today or tomorrow I hope to actually get the car, just let me know and we can go together or I can just pick it up for you.

Silver 93 mostly stock, jdm replacement engine. Located off turnpike exit 93, needs paint and a few other things but overall decent condition.

Hey Gary, I already ended up having the person ship the parts to me so I don't need to head up there anymore. Thanks for the offer though

I saw the car on craigslist, from the description it looks good. Did you ask if the JDM engine swap also included the 02 turbos? Because that would be a nice little nugget to get.

As a precaution when you go see it, try and get the car a compression test, and find out how he knows that he's only running the turbos at 5psi? I looked at the interior pics, and he doesn't seem to have an aftermarket water temp gauge, or a boost gauge.

Also I wouldn't go with his suggestion of painting the car at maaco, lol

For that amount of money
It's worth having Cam at Petitt Racing take a look at it
Im curious as why the boost is only at 5psi as well

Lol, I had him get a compression test before I put the down payment, everything came back good. As for the 5 PSI I am not 100% on that so it will be going to Lopez once I get it. I bought new aluminum door handles, they will be here today because the drivers side broke. He said he had the car at Pettit and they put the boost at 5 PSI and didn't have time to put it back, but it has the stock ECU and no boost controller so I have no clue how they did it.

No gauges yet but they will be ordered shortly and installed, not sure about the turbos yet but no smoking and starts right up warm and cold. I will also be upgrading the cooling system in it soon.

I have a paint guy that is a friend of the family that will be doing the work for me, he seems to do pretty good work and I can probably get it for around the same price as Maaco.

Also, I will be going to the meet Friday after I get it, I know you guys are knowledgeable and helpful so hoping I can get some more advice on it lol. Here are some pictures I took, more than what is on the AD.

I agree with Andrew, for that amount of money make sure you take it to Pettit and have him check it out, not he will only check the mechanical he could also check the body for major damage, it looks like the paint is some different shades, i know some parts are faded but i should atleast look all the same, for the money he is asking do your self a favor and take it to Pettit before you buy it, just looking out for fellow rotary heads.

I used to work for carmax and did many car inspections, none of the panels have been removed except the front, and there are no clamp marks on the frame and no over spray it is the original paint. but yeah the paint is worn in some spots more than others, but it mainly due to the clear flaking off in some spots before others. As for mechanical, it will be gone through first thing, I know the car runs good now but anything can happen, I just want to avoid that.

10k, not to put down VR it is just my least favorite color. I was set on either black or silver, unless I found a really clean MB.

I know what you mean, I was looking for a white FD, would've paid a premium for it, but they sold the one I was looking at before I could gather all the funds

Any other color for me was the same, and actually MB would've probably been my least fav. lol
