A couple More: When we got the vert, it was pink, the paint was faded and chalky so bad. Last week, I took it over to a freinds house and we went at it for about 3 hours. It is hard to tell, but the paint came out looking like brand new. We blacked out the tail lites with a special paint he had just for that purpose. I am going to paint the trim around the tail lites, but am trying to decide if I should leave it black or paint it body color red to bring out the blacked out lens. There are a couple of dings here and there and it needs a new top, but the guy who gave us the car also gave us a new carpet still in the box. That will go in after the top is replaced. The car was green inside when we got it from mildew because it was sitting for about 8 months. We got the interior cleaned out pretty good, but needs a few things fixed. I need to find a stereo surround for it, some new seat material, and fix a few things like the dome lite and other stuff. It also needs a new exhaust system, the mufflers have pretty much rotted off and the rest of the system leaks.

I ran some Sea Foam through the tank and the engine runs like a top.

after sitting 8 months i would highly suggestion to replace fuel filter/clean out injectors and check gas tank for any rust.... other htan really nice fine and i love the stock bbs wheels

Nice! Both look great! It's pretty cool that you started a family tradition of RX-7 ownership!

 

here's a couple more. Some areas that I have to fix. Someone backed into the corner of the car and broke the side marker lens and the edge of the tail light bezel. I don't know how they missed the body.... The top is like this on both sides.
