As an observer, when Val raised eyebrows by stating that he was stepping down a couple of weeks back, it seemed as if he was doing it for the attention, he wanted to see how many of you would actually stop him.
Now I am convinced that he WAS doing it for the attention, and like if that wasn't childish enough, when the MAJORITY of the Club, that’s right the MAJORITY really wants him to consider stepping down, he goes and states how much this club means to him. And how if he had the right people he can make this club successful, I don’t think that anyone of us can make it successful as long as VAL is a part of it.
And to those few of you that defend the so called "president" I don’t see you stepping in to fill the so called vacant positions.

There seems to be some confusion on where I stand on this issue.
Some people think I am "defending" Val, and want him to stay on as
president. That isn't necesarily the case.
The only thing Iam defending is that fact that he started a club in
Miami, and now many members want to take it from him, rather than
starting their own seperate club.
Putting yourself in the same place, you'd feel like someone
was trying to take something from you.
That being said,
Let me be the first to voice some opinions here:
1) I don't get along with Val/Preacher/Pepe/etc. - this is a known issue.
2) I don't like the direction the club is currently going. It seems to be a mob mentality.
3) I would like a better, more organized club with less drama, more events, and less "hanging out"
(I am not 16 years old to be hanging out like before)
4) As I stated before, I would be happy to support A N Y B O D Y
who is both QUALFIED and has the TIME to successfully run the
club. So far I don't know of *one* person who has both.
5) I don't attend all the meets. I will never attend all the meets.
My schedule just won't let me. However, I know I have attended
and participated alot more than many others here, so please don't
say "Who is he to get involved". I have been involved in one way or
another since the days of the MRCCFL. - a long while ago.

how bout the hell with any "club". for my sake i dont make all of the meets. the times ive met up with anyone in a "club" fashion, theres arguing and crap most of the time. not all of the time but enough. it then leaks out onto these threads.
as far as im concerned, im not going to be part of the "club". that shouldnt mean that i can hang out wit any of you guys/gals. that would be pretty stupid if things got that way.
now when some of us get together to go to moroso and the towers, its fun. why, because most of the time doing those things doesnt culminate out of an "official club thing". its normally a simple thing thats stated in a simple thread. some people that want to go, go. if not , oh well, theres always next time.
i feel that the "club" thing normally creates issues and then eventually, seperation or arguing or my favoite, drama.
Val, its cool that you started out a means to get all of the rotary community down south to get together. you know im cool with you and to my knowledge, everyone here that i know or knows me.
Starting the club happened along time ago. Almost everyone knows each other now. I think the whole "club" thing, meaning the trying to organize very large events, should only be done once in a blue moon.
now the going to towers, moroso, tangos if that happens anymore, auto x's and stuff like that, should just be relegated to people getting the desire to go, and posting a thread for invitations.
I went to moroso a few weeks ago and that was a simple thing. we stated a time, place, and destination. some people went, and some couldnt. it was easy, to the point and fun for those of us that went. granted it rained and that sucked but whatever.
anytime that the topic of a club comes up, normally thats where the drama is. aside from the parade lap at the hms, how many times has it really proved anything special that we all have had the label of a club? I know it must get frustrating at times wanting to get everyone togther and try to orchestrate a big event. imagine how much more everyone would enjoy themselves if they all just made their choices to go somewhere without any coaxing or goading or pushing?

I shall continue to set up events as I have done in the past less the hostility and drama that i have been known to be a part of. We will see how it goes and like some persons have said over time in some of the meetings to keep the club small so there is more interaction and less animosity.
Having a meet once a month sounds like a good idea as it wont be as monotonous as Directfreak stated. I agree with him on that note. As far as Pepe... In some way having a sarcastic nature about me i can see where I may be compared to him .. I do have to admit although I am not in favor of it , I do admire his audaciousness and tenacitous nature but I dont praise it completely since he has only stirred up some frustration amongst some on this forum.
I, for one am not into raising anymore hostility or animosity but rather to curb my ways toward the success of a club geared to the rotorheads. A clean slate soto speak.. I hope to accomplish that in the near future. The SOFLA RX CLUB
will remain as it is but some officer to fill the vacant positions and not charge for membership as described by Directfreak... perhaps at a later time that may be important to manage the website.
I look forward to seeing many of you at tomorrow Kendall Mitsubishi night...

i also agree with direct freak and 550rwhprex but thats my opinion i honestly dont have much say anymore as im a gone in a week leaving tommorow to start taking some of my stuff up and at the same time i thank god i wont have to really read anymore of this crap since ill now be with the tennesee group! yay for me but i do wanna mayb have one more get together before i leave well see how plans go.....

Well...
I'm not much of a talker. I just like to watch and learn. But here it is.
I see that this club is slowly dissolving. And its o.k. nothing lasts for ever. With Val's original decision to leave the club the elections where due to come up sooner or later. I believe Val's decision to leave was emotionally based. With almost 200 people in the club and 6 arriving to a meet that could spark up disappointment. Val does not have a career to dedicate his life to but gave 110% to the club because of that. Even more so his business was the club. The connections and parts that are provided through Val make it more than just a club. For this reason I see where dragon motor sports would like to take over (Customers). This is not a bad thing. If ran correctly it could be a new branch form the club. However, I hear that Val might keep the club. OK so.. It's bringing a division where a new club might emerge. Great; because a club a family and a team should not go in two directions but travel in one. With all this said I'm not sure what to think of this situation but that all the members of the So Fla RX club will have a big decision to make. Stay with Val's club or go With D.M.S. All and all this feels like a political race with the promise of democracy VS. Communism (as stated in the thread).
My opinion is that I like Val. Even though he might be a bit short tempered at times. I noticed his enthusiasm to accel. I did things with the club that where very cool such as homestead miami speed way. There is a clear history with Val's team. On the bad side I must note that not everyone can make it to all the meets. And Val wishes this not to ever be this way.
With D.M.S. I know nothing yet. Therefore I can't judge it except for the statements brought up in this thread. A promise of democracy is the claim and maybe a better team. This might work well for some or more people. On the bad side all I see is more business here for dms but with a once a year elections how are they to keep the club? The few remarks are “Give it a break Val.”
Final verdict: This split will force a clear view of what people really want. I'm sure time will tell who will stay and who will go to what might be bigger and better things. But please due to the animosity amongst us all I hope there are no Club jumpers in the future of these two clubs. I hope the leaders of the two clubs play it fair and don't send spies and immature ****. But we all know that this is all politics now and the promise for what ever it is the people want to hear will come out of both sides. Non the less I hope the future leaders realize that it's not just a battle for the moment. This is a never ending battle to "try" and keep people points of view in their favor. But people are not robots.

We will see what is going to happen... I appreciate the persons that stood for what they believed in and their views which are important enough to voice on this very public forum.
On a side note... to the person responsible for directing the IP addresses to me i will find out who you are ... and I will find out why you have taken it upon yourself to frame me... but that is ok...I have a good feeling who it is..... i am sure that there are ways to locate this info just like Randy's Razpewtons information was found when the Honda Piston logo was used on the SOFLARXCLUB .COM a few months back...
I am not as computer savyy as I would like to be so I dont know how to locate someone but i am sure that there people who do know how...
Just to let you know that i will find the perpetrator in this mess that has attached my name to some undesirable usernames in order to mess with me.
I will be at Kendall Mitsubishi tonight as I am on my way there.... its 642 pm
If there is another club forming so be it... I will keep my own SOFLA RX CLUB and the members may be small in numbers but it will continue its pace to becoming a successful club.
