except not so much. this is the first time ive been able to get to an internet source since i left on the march 30th. actually, its been since before that.

man, my school is nuts. all anybody talks about is getting "washed back". . . having to retake certain blocks of training, and all sorts of crud. the course is intense. . . though, ive only been here for a week. im sure things will get better. . .

i get to hang out with a lot of non-prior service guys. . . which is cool, cause its almost like babysitting at times.

there are only two other prior service students in my class, and one lives off base. . . so, study groups are just about shot. . . since i cant legally mingle with the non-prior service students after school hours.

studying is almost nill as it is since we have smoke your *** till it smells like burned toast with a little doody paste on it. . . EVERYDAY.

whats nice? i did find out that the course im taking allows me to obtain an associates degree in biomedical/electrical sciences. i also found out that there are scouts waiting for us AT the graduation with business cards, contracts, and eager eyes just waiting to lazer in on us poor, unsuspecting national guard/reserved soldiers. . . since we go home after the school, we can go straight to work.

very nice perks. . . but man, oh man. . . it is sooooooo freaking hard. . . and i miss just coming home to my wife and son. . .

anyways, i just wanted to give you guys an update on my situation. . . cause im bored right now. . . and found a signal.

I didn't know you were/had been in the service, Paul. So you're in the AF reserve? Are you gonna have to go overseas right away?

At least when the AF goes overseas, though, they aren't in the line of fire... hehe j/k

ren, i remember you being in the navy. . . im in the army nat'l guard. sheppard is a tri-service training area for medical skills.

im not so sure ill be going overseas anytime soon. by gaining this MOS, i will finally belong to the unit i transfered to. this unit has a soul obligation to the state of tennessee. ill be the only biomedical equipment tech in the entire state. they have two detachments and one home station. so, ill have my hands full. . . and theyll be so happy im there, that they wont let me go anywhere.
