TN Sept. Ride changed

We had said earlier that sportscarfrenzy.com was going to put on another ride in mid to late September. With the spike in the gas prices, supposedly due to hurricane, we are going to move our ride bact to Oct. 11th if this does not conflict with to many schedules Anyway go to site for any updates and I will try to get info here as fast as I can. It is still a ways away and nothing is solid in concrete yet, but the date is fairly solid.

Oi. Because of that, I haven't even bothered with getting my other 7 back on the road. I'm going to put tags on the bike instead.

Our hope is gas prices will settle and drop by that time. I am fairly certain that if it dous not settle turn out will be low, but we are going to try to look on the bright side.

I just paid $5.19 a few minutes ago. I didn't care too much since it was 2.5 gallons for the bike, which gets over 60mpg anyway. In the RX-7's, it would cost me a damn C-note to fill one tank right now.

Ok the gas alarm seems to be off. So far we have come up with three possibilities. Weigh in and let us know where you want to go.

The Dragon
The Devil's Triangle
The Snake (we haven't done this one)

The snake may take some better planning to get under way. I believe it starts in Elizabethton and is a hour ride. The hr ride is cool but not sure people want to drive close to two hours even before the hour ride. I want to do it as well but maybe not this time. Of course if enough people push for this drive, it could still be a go.

As of right now the route will most likely be crossing the parkway. We will roll that til we reach 129 and head across the dragon to Fontana dam. Stop for a quick minute and head to the HB cafe. Grab a drink, bathroom, bite to eat and then head out. You guys kow the roads better than I. If we took the right hand road at the Deal's Gap store, where do we end up?

That's what I was thinking. I think that should be the route we take this time as well. Tony was talking about some place to eat up there that as supposed to be good. I will start talking about focusing in on that route.
