since october is rapidly aproaching and we have no plans, i thought i would go ahead and post up the next months meet thread. what you bitches want to do?

As far as the brp is concerned, I guess the date could always be moved up. I dont know if you guys want to keep the SC meet in SC, or what, that is for you guy's to decide. However, I STILL have not put new tire's on the 7 yet, and I have two bills that have to be paid before I can spend $300+ on a new set of sticky tires.
I have had to drive the Miata as a DD for a few weeks, and although it handles better than the 7, it's not really the same as ripping these roads with my wankel

 

the parkway run will not change dates eli...we've had it set at 19-21st for a while now so i dont want to change it a few wks before incase anyone who's traveling from further out already has overnight accomidations...

 

Do you seriously think that there is anyone that has made reservations? Judging by how little the BRP thread has been posted in the last month, there's only going to be a small number of people anyways. I would still prefer to do it on the 20th, simply because the temperature will still be mild, I was just throwing the idea out there.

 

The date of the 20th was selected after much debate and consideration. For one we've been told from multiple sources that 2nd and 3rd weekend of the month tends to be best for viewing the color changes in the leafs. As this and enjoying nature is / was the primary goal of this run, it had a lot to do with the date selection. On top of that, as the world's tallest midget (Tray) has stated, it has been set for a while now. Some people (myself included) would've had to ask for vacation time to make it on the 19th (Friday) since we are starting at 3pm. So, not only would people like Tray (who no longer lives near Ashville) and others might need a place to crash and thus made accommodations, but also people who work might've had to ask for time off on that week (2-week notice is the norm) would have to completely change things at the last minutes.

 

:smiley_12: Just figure it out and let me know. Over the past few months we have all been trying to be TOO accommodating and it has screwed up our plan each time. I think we should get back to the roots and decide on a time and place and everyone show up so we can ALL have a good time like a CLUB should!!! I have people over every weekend and my favorite in the last year was when my house was packed with Wankel *******. We should all miss the same **** get our heads out of OUR asses and meet up as a large group and stop ******* around month after month... Peace, Love, & 7s

End of Oct some of US will be meeting up here in Chucktown to celebrate Allen finally losing his photoshop virginity and getting me my Dyno DVD already, Yes I remember and your late!! It was a simple last minute grab of a tape for filming a project and got taped over. There was nothing I could do. lol.

yea chip i have been harrassing him for months about it, but i think he really did lose the footage. the funny part is, he had already loaded my car onto his computer, so that's safe. although, it is really boring, except for listening to the turbo!!!

Well, doesn't look like i'll be making it to brp or the nov. meet. Lyle will be leaving Iraq for 2 week leave on the 26th of October, so Kenz and I will be heading up there later that week. Sorry guys.

I guess it depends on what kind of deal i get in court tomorrow. If all goes well, i'm gonna take the body guy a payment and tell him to get on it. Otherwise, i'll be paying a BS speeding ticket. Cop claims i was going 85 in a 60 on i-85 Southbound between hwy14 and i-385 at 8:30 in the morning. uhhhh no. absolutely impossible. Plus the ******* put the fine as $440.00, charged me with speeding - SC Code 56-5-1520 which actually states the maximum fine for speeding in the great state of SC as $200.00. NOT $440.00!

I'll tell him y'all wish him well. As far as the RX-7, i dunno yet. Seems like everytime i get any amount of moneys saved up to give the guy, something comes along and demands it, like this ticket that hopefully will be blown out the door by the judge.

The judge found me guilty. Don't speed, or even drive in SC. They'll charge you with speeding regardless, then you get to go to a rickety little piece of trash courthouse in a stripmall where the judge will find you guilty faster than you can say "objection, your honor".

 

that's exactly how much they charged me on my 100 in a 35 ticket. ur ticket was 25 over the limit. i think anything 20 over limit is considered wreckless driving and 6 pts. i got 6 pts for mine.
