the question u need to ask is who had videocameras, and who recorded. jamin, masin, and chip were the only ppl turboed if i remember right. i might have some of chip's bov sounds. btw chip if u get the chance to read this...you might have compressor surge. and allen, if i go to the next meet, how abt i bring some more energy drinks and we can trade off for the dvd. sound gud?

 

haha yeah i guess but... as for BOV sounds... yeah there were only 3 cars that were turbo'd and masin's was on a break in procedure... ill throw in the exhaust notes but no one really wound their engines out yesterday... plus my girlfriend and i were talking and playing music so thats why it was turned down. ill put some in that worked. later guys.

It was a great meet! Great seeing everyone again. Sorry we ducked out early, but we had been looking forward to the circus for a while now. It was great! Tigers can do some really neat ****!

 

^haha yeah they can... the circus was here when we got back... which was odd. i guess they have multiple bella clowns or something. but yeah, i started editing the video today and you guys will get some exhaust sounds (masin theres some good ones of your turbo spoolin' up!)

once again i had a great time... popped my cherry for eating @ a wild wings too!!! haha

Greg, how's the editing of the upstate meet vid coming?

 

i can assure you my editing is better. haha jk. i didn't even know you guys filmed that... 10 minutes of hanging out @ a meet doesn't allow much but i would like a copy of that one if possible.

 

Jamin, my timing was waayyyy the f@#k off.

So I finally got myself a timing light and its heck of a lot better now.

Im not sure if it was way to advanced or retarded but the Idle was high and it was back firing and/or missing A-lot, at Idle.

ps: And the nut / CAS was tightened.

question btw...im going to post some pics of my car, but alot of my replacement parts are blue. should i go for rust removal, down to the bare metal, and make it flat black, go with brave blue, keep it champagne-ish or what? i need help with this guys.

oh you can use aircraft paint removal... just dont let that stuff touch your hands or bare skin b/c it strips anything down to the bare metal. post up pics, video, etc. i want to see what everyone else got!!!

becareful using stripper on ur car. if you dont get it all off then when you put primer on it will eat that too. ur best bet is to use a random orbital sander.

I wasn't sure where to put this but I'm unloading some parts on the cheap. I wanted to let you guys know before I started a new thread.

-Racing Beat front strut tower bar for the FC. It's got some chips in the paint but still serves its purpose. I'd like to sell it to offset the cost of new struts which is what the car really needs. $100 or I'll give it to you if you help me install new struts

-Stock sport rims with good tires (Toyo Proxes). $50 or I might keep one as a full size spare and sell the others for $10 a piece.

-OEM battery, says Mazda high performance on it. It's about a year and a half old according to the previous owner. I didn't need to replace it but I saved 10lbs. using a miata battery. It's definitely good, started the car up quickly every time. I think this and the rims/tires would be good, cheap maintenance stuff for someone's project car.

That's about it but I do have some misc stuff like a washer tank, cruise control equip and an FB05 signal/horn cpu if anyone's interested.

well, im in graphics class right now and just finished the editing for the dvd... FINALLY! the first copy is rendering the menu as i speak... its still got to render and process the movie so masin, if it gets finished whithin 50 minutes we will be able to watch it today if you want. im happy w/ it... but yeah thought id share that bit of news w/ you guys!

 

well shi.. I just saw the sticky at the top saying not to use this forum to "pawn off your crap". now I feel bad, I definitely wasn't trying to be like that, just trying to help someone out. Hopefully the lack of response is due to this thread being obsoleted by the other one.

 

CRAP! my computer crashed last night as it was rendering the video. hopefully i can salvage something.
