Hello! I guess I am the newby that DJ is talking about. I have been watching this site for a while now. I owned a '81 GSL in 1991 and regretted the day I sold it. I recently purchased an '83 GSL (avatar). I am the third owner, but the 2nd owner only had the car for two years. So far, I am happy with the car, but it most likely needs a rebuild.

I agree with the whole Columbia not being a good place to cruise or meet. I have lived here on and off for years, and it has too much traffic. I did live in Mauldin, SC for a while and really enjoyed there.

I am still having to refamiliarize myself with the RX7 and rotary engine. It's been awhile

I will keep up with this forum and when I can, maybe I can make a meet.

I do want to ask a crazy question........how do I subscribe to this forum? Thanks to all.

BK

welcome to the club, noobie. haven't been following any of the threads lately. pretty much just been depressed and lonely with me and the wife splitting up. just working and trying to keep my mind occupied so i don't think about things. i'll probably be working alot for awhile to get myself out of debt so if i get to any meets, they'll have to be within afew hrs drive. haven't heard or seen anything about elite audio having a show, so i don't even know where that's going to be. we'll just have to see what happens between now and then.

welcome to the club BK, even though its not really a "club" so to speak.. i think thats why some people dont htink they are invited because we call it a club. its mostly just a bunch of friends that like to hang out and talk, work on, and drive cars

and btw im an idiot.. the motors not blown after all, just a vacuum line that had popped off

Yeah so I was thinking about why I would even think about selling my FC and gettin the Skyline so I think I have finally talked my wife into keeping both!!
Any ways I need some feedback until next Friday... The White R33 as is w/ front mount and more boost. Or the Red GTS4 AWD and throw in the RB26DETT w/ 400 stock?? It would be so much easier if there were only one. Tell Rob thanks for making it complicated.

Welcome We ARE a F@ckin Club the most bad *** car club in the World Fuckos... Get it?!?! Anyways between all of us we can stock a small Mazda dealership with parts so just ask. We also love to help each other with rotary issues. Everything else you will still need to go see your counselor, but a few of us are pretty good wing men if you need some tail!!!

requirements to be a member of the SCrx7Club...

1. come to as many meets as often as you can
2. own or at least love rx7s....
and the main, most important requirement:
3. claim you are a member.

actually it was 280, but that was total bs. when he says stock he means basically stock. like you say a car has intake and exhaust, i say thats still stock even though it may give you great power gains in the case of an rx7, thats what everybody does, so, in escense its still stock.

man i sound like an *******.

Actually my online research shows: There is a retricting orifice in the turbo Vac line that keeps power down to abide with the Japs restrictions, but once it is out it yields more along 350!!

its a tough choice.. on one hand you have AWD, less weight, less power, and some body damage. on the other hand you have RWD, more weight, more power (and more power potential), and better looks (imo) plus ive never seen an R33 in person, seems like the are the least popular of the 3 gens

i think r33's look horrible. maybe its because r32's look sorta cool since they got circle tails too. and the r34 looks sick, despite the crappy stock spoiler. and ru serious chip about the vac line? shittt...

i say get the 4-lug R33. hahaha base model baby... sleeper tho b/c its got an RB25DET. lol. nah man, think real good and hard about what you want. its going to be YOUR car. the R33 <- the good one! is nice by all means. but the GTS-4 is rare. its all up to you. regardless of what model you get. i will gladly ride shotgun w/ you around town or wherever. haha.

did you come to the upstate today btw to look @ them?

Tray and Eli... pictures are coming tomorrow. I am working on the video from today that Steve and I shot. 151 didn't turn out as good as I thought it would b/c my camera is going out.

Pictures will be up tomorrow but we will see about adding the 151 run b/c I'm in no rush to edit shitty quality footage.

I had fun guys. Although I wish I could have stayed longer. It was best we left when we did. We ran into some really bad weather on the way home, I fell asleep @ the wheel 2 times and Steve understeered through fog and hard rain into a guardrail. lol. no damage tho. To make him feel better I drew some donuts. haha.
