Dana called me and told me he couldn't get your car started FJDRX7 I told him he has to hold down the clutch pedal. I went to start it but I took the Escort it must have gotten scared and wouldn't start. JK if I would check here more often i would have have done it for you. FJDRX7 what do you use to seal your oil pans. Do you use the grey gasket maker/sealer, also Do you guys buy a gasket or make your own. also can you send me Carlos's email address.

the book says to use the mazda rtv ot the gasket, i use the gray rtv and the orange mazda gasket, so far so good, others use the hondabond, pretty good stuff, is your choice
and no my car starts, remember im only been gone for a few months now, and carlos email ????? i try once and it return to sender back, so i get my wife to ask carlos wife for it

Hey guys I am still alive in Baghdad. Sorry I coldnt write any sooner. The internet here is slower than dail up. Francisco if your wife needs help getting the car started tell her to ask my wife. She has a little more time dealing with Rx7s. I got my new rims and tires in. The rims are the American Racing / Pro Series. They are 15 inch by 14 inches wide. I bet that they will look god once the car is finished.

New member here. I just found this thread and am interested in meeting some other members with FD's. I just got mine a couple weeks ago. It's a silver '93 and WAS all stock. I have the engine bay really torn apart for several mods at the same time. I am on Whitemarsh Island if there are any members close to me.

Here's a picture of it after I got it cleaned up a few weeks ago.

Nice find and welcome to the forum. Just a heads up for future mods. It's been found it's better to do them one at a time and drive forst before the next one as if there areproblems it makes it easier to figure out what went wrong. Any way welcome and best of luck with your new ride.

 

I sort of agree with the one mod at a time theroy but not in a case when you have it all opened up. Doing reliablity mods while the turbos are off is allowed as well as exhaust, intake, intercooler, pulleys, brakes, shocks, fuel pump and injector service and a standalone ecu. It just makes sense while I have it apart.

I Grew Up On Whitemarsh... I Moved Back Here About 2yrs Ago And Live In Savannah Now... Where In The Island Do You Live???

 

I live in Battery Point. I read about the meet on 7-7-07 and am glad to see it's at carter Racing. Those are some good folks there. Their tuner is OUTSTANDING. I don't know how many rotaries he's tuned but I would call him a master of piston engines.
