No one would probably want it (I don't,) but I finished replacing the oil cooler in the GSLSE today, and I have the old leaking one and lines (cut in half) for anyone who might want it for some reason. Thought I would see before tossing them in the trash.
I also have an old SE driveshaft too (fits 83-85 cars) that needs ujoints to be replaced also. The oil cooler and driveshaft would need someone who knows how to weld to fix them, but it's probably doable.

Don't we have one of the longest running threads on the forum? Just a thought I had. I've crossed over the 12:00am threshold. Like a werewolf, I change. From stupid -> stoopider.

Hey guys, I just saw some interesting stuff on the VIR website:
2007 VIR 400
The weekend of April 27-29 will herald the return of one of VIR's biggest events, the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve VIR 400. The Rolex Sports Car Series is the fastest-growing professional sports car racing series in the world, and VIR has been a mainstay on the schedule in recent years. In 2007 the exotic Daytona Prototypes and the production-based GT cars will have separate 400k races. The 2006 race included one of the most exciting race finishes in series history, one that was dubbed “The Rolex Moment of the Year.” The Rolex Sports Car Series will be joined for the first time by the brand-new SunTrust Moto ST Series, an endurance-racing series for twin-cylinder, four-stroke motorcycles, which will stage a 500km race. Also joining the VIR 400 weekend for their first time at VIR will be the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear and the Skip Barber National Championship Series.
Who would be down for a trip up to VIR that weekend??? I definately plan on going to cheer on the Speedsource Team and to get Sylvain Tremblay and Nick Hamm to autograph my car! I believe the pricing was $50 for the weekend. Looks like Sat. is the day to be there...all qualifying is that day and the GT race starts at 4:30pm. Sounds like a huge weekend!!!

they ask you about nukes, tanks, heavy machine guns or whatever for a purpose. they try to get you to laugh at the ridculous comment or at least take note of it. If you dont they start to wonder if you really have something to hide. Evidently if you are hiding something the nuke comment doesnt register as funny becuase you are so worked up about hiding something.

^ I saw an episode of cops and they talked about that. They showed a cop asking just about the same thing and it went right by the guy because he had something to hide.
Ben your exhaust isn't that loud anyway is it? At least I don't recall it being that loud under normal driving. Were you being abby-normal?

posted for posterity and the sake of those at the drive in sat. night
We were discussing different members who did not show up and some one mentioned a FD owner who did not show up because he could not pay for gas.
I, of course, interjected that it was because he could not afford the oil, which garnered a good rotary guffaw.
LOL, wankels....

IIRC he said "the high mid-20's" when I asked him. Its a 6 speed automatic.
You can find 04-05s in the high mid to upper teens on the used market with pretty low miles. RX8club.com is a great place to get an idea what the private market is.

But if you want to go with an 04 or an 05, as Nic and BC said check E-bay and RX-8 Club. Specially if your more familiar with the mechanical aspect of the rotaries. Unlike me, which is why I went the route with the longer warranty plus the various other reasons.
