Did any of you guys go to the huge car show at the chargrills off atlantic? There was about 50-100 classic / hot rods / and muscle cars there , throughout the night. I had my car parked with the bimmers, including two turbo m3's .

also- all you FC guys, us durham peoples have been thinking about getting a computer upgrade from a company in charlotte. its for the TII's and it gives you a built in FCD, pulls the 2ndaries down to 3500, removes the cold start high idle(3000RPMs=not good w/ low oil pressure),also has like a boost deficient fuel pressure raiser or something. anyways, its like 115$ to have them install the parts and everything into the computer. if anyone is interested in a group buy i will try to negotiate something.

I felt kinda bad not having any info to give him but thanks for following up with him. I was over a Briers Creek Saturday, spent the evening with one of my sons and saw "The Village". SO there are some good things about missing a drive-in weekend. The night wasn't totally wasted, while we were at the Red Robin waiting for a seat I saw the beautiful Red FC Vert across Hwy 70 in the Briers Creek shopping center. Anyone claim it? Very nice car.

You can't be serious Dave? You're like Geritol to us older guys, you keep us regular. I'd be interested in doing the ECU upgrade if it helps the engine management on an NA. My engine is running great now and don't want to do anything to mess it up. Get us more information, if you can. Will Steve and Ken make it over Saturday? Come on guys y'all gotta be there to keep the FCs strong.

Like that, should we start a special thread, "As the Rotor Turns" so that all these love sick youngins can whine about their love life without getting in the way of the important stuff? Look for it soon coming to a forum near you! You could be their love life advisor and tell what they should be doing, I thought my advice was pretty good but no one seemed to want to follow up on it.

Bert, I have been searching for a woman like you talked about. Problem is, at first they think the obsession with my car is cute, then when they find that i like my car more than them, it becomes a problem I try to explain to them that my car is more reliable(and hell i drive a FD), easier to turn on, never gives me any attitude, and will probably be with me for longer than they will. hey wait...maybe THAT is why they don't like me or my 7 for too long. hehe! anyone got a better idea on how I should explain why I love my car so much?

yea, that will make the ladies feel appreciated. i love my car more cuz it is just so SEXY...and well...your just you.

ok quick poll on what I should do to my car next.
I have 3 things i wanna do but dont know which order to do them in.
a) leather reupholstery, my drivers bolster looks like alligator skin. autoleathers.com can make me a set with OEM mazda hides
b)suspension upgrade, probably just some koni's and eibach springs, plus rolling the fenders
c)powerfc and commander, need it to continue with my engine mods.

I guess the question is should i finish other aspects of the car before I continue increasing HP. personally i am leaning towards the PFC, but if i do that it will lead to big money on the engine(ie intercooler, fuel system, turbo upgrade, new engine) which would mean that i would have to put aside other projects (ie suspension, interior, etc).

anyhow, just wanted some quick opinions.

This is a show car, not a road racing or drag muscle car, right?

yea pretty much. i always have the hunger for power, and i burn the backroads all the time, but as everyone knows I am not a dedicated drag or road course racer. so, i think i can see where you are going with this.

Next time Taylor shows up, we could distract him for a while and you might be able to get most of what you need from his car.

Sorry, just reread you're post. The ECU upgrade is for the FC TII. I'm not ready to do the Turbo upgrade, don't think this ol'man could handle all that power.

Could I write you a note to get you outa work? "He's a drive-on junkie and has missed two weekends without the excitement and thrill of a meeting. He absolutely needs this coming Saturday off get his fix." How's that.

I'll tell you, it is tough going 3 weeks without a meeting. Can you give us a clue about the new baby?

funny hehe

but Josh, seriously... I noticed your kind of already doing it but you gotta realize once you start the power mods, you don't stop. So be awhare (spelling?) about the PFC. I personally would do the seats first and then do the PFC because I think its much more attractive to see a beautiful car with a beautiful interior than a beautiful car with animals living in it! (aka "alligator")

And I most likely will be at the next meet in my car because I just got my new computer in... just need to do some tuning. Wish me luck.
The only thing that may hold me back from coming will be that that is the move in day for my new apartment.

Taylor, that is the slippery slope that I am leary of. I know if I get the PFC it is gonna open me up to do a lot of expensive mods.

Everyone I talk to seems to say do the leather first. So, I guess I will tackle that one and then probably hit the suspension. Then finally do the PFC & commander.

Thanks for the advice guys. anyone else wanna kick in their 2 cents? I would be happy to hear it.

Josh - I got the leather seat covers from leatherseats.com if you want to take a look at them. I keep trying to make the driveins (I live less than 1 mi from the CharGrill on Strickland), but not very successfully so far, so PM me if you want to take a look. I got the tan leather, with tan suede inserts (for grip).

90K original miles... didnt run when me n steve got to the car, but it did 15 minutes later.... $1K, theres a few clues....

josh, i would do the suspension first on that thing. it will make it look soo much better and be much more fun to drive.
anyone interested in that ECU upgrade?

Hey Brent, have you been to any of the meetups? Sounds like a good way to meet and bring others into the group. They meet on 3rd Saturdays so that wouldn't conflict with our scheduled meets. Do you know the locations of the meetups?
