Yep, thats what I though. Next meet (June 14th) at sonic, next next meet (June 28th) Grill 57.

I'm going to have to miss the Sonic meet, but I'll be in attendance at the Grill 57 meet... maybe only for a little while though because My fiancee's sister's birthday is that day according to my unofficial calendar... maybe I'll get sick and can't go to her bday party .

SHIRTS! Who's spearheading the new shirts?

Yeah I miss you guys too Gregg.

No Josh, no luck with the fuelz. I'm actually getting really tired of working on it, haha. And things keep going wrong with the Prelude so I'm trading it in hopefully in the next couple weeks.

Alright I'll ask you guys first since y'all are family...what vehicle should I get when I trade in the Prelude? I can't decide if I should get a truck or a car for one thing. Here are my stipulations...

If I get a truck, I want a 4x4, I don't see the point in owning anything less. I just want to have the option of 4x4 if I ever need it. I'd also like to have enough room to carry 4 people too, so I want either an extended cab or full cab. And whatever I get I'd like it to be a manual, I don't want to deal with automatic trannys anymore. The only problem is there aren't a whole lot of trucks out there that I like right now. I kinda like the Nissan Frontier, and I've thought about maybe an older Tacoma or something, or maybe a Dodge Dakota V8.

If I get a car, it also has to be a manual. I can't decide if I want a sports car or something more comfy. There aren't many sports cars I like right now. I like the S2000 but I can't fit in the damn thing. Whatever it is it has to be either AWD or RWD, I'm not getting another FWD. I REALLY want an AWD, like a WRX or EVO (leaning more towards WRX) but I know I'll want to mod those and I don't want my extra money to go to yet another car other than the FD. I was pretty set on getting a Mazdaspeed 6 but I heard they use the throttle body to regulate boost instead of a wastegate, which is just 'tarded. I can't remember what all my stipulations are at the moment so if you have any suggestions post up. Thanks!

Truck so you can pull a trailer with the car on it to events and stuff.

Car so you can carry groceries and.... kids?

Truck so you can run over idiots in cars.

Car so you can carry groceries and... kids?

Truck so you can haul parts and stuff as needed.

Car so you can carry groceries and... kids?

Truck so you can go wherever whenever you want.

Car so you can carry groceries and... kids?

I think that covers it.

Josh I agree, maybe starting a new one each month isn't a bad idea.

Well, I've thought several different things about what to get. Earlier tonight I was seriously thinking about doing the LS1 FD thing, and then I thought about building the FB back home and driving that while building the FD. But a truck would be nice too, although I still wonder if I should get it new or get a cheaper used one. And I wouldn't mind having a bike and jetski, which is one of the main reasons I was looking at trucks.

Ok nevermind, I've made up my mind. First things first though, sorry for bogarting this thread, haha.

I'm getting a car...an FD...a DIFFERENT FD than what I have already. It's not already built but I think Josh can help me build it, and possibly Chris too

Cliff notes...please keep your eyes open for an inexpensive (read NOT beat down) LS1.

i say f' the bullshit. get a ram air TA modded for about 12-13K that runs 11s already it fits 4 people(kinda)

or just do melba dude. it will be okay. you can always do the rotary project later when time allows, if you want.

or just get the truck. so you can pull melba to the meets and we can all work on her.

Hog all you want Eric, it's one of the reasons for this thread man.

I Still think a truck. With an FD (or two), an FB and other toys you're talking about a truck with a trailer would be win.

Damn Josh, I figured this news would have made you happy as a pig in ****, haha. Nope, no TA, it's gonna be an FD. I think I might put it in Melba, since it's a touring model with a moonroof and takes away room for my head already and won't fit a cage very well, I'll just make it a street/daily driver/fun car. And later when I get the roller I'll put all my rotary stuff in it. Hmmm, not sure though.

Yeah I could get the truck but that would take away from the rebuild money. I can get a used truck for alot less and still serve my purposes nicely, I don't need a brand new truck.

I agree, eventually a truck would be nice, but I don't HAVE to have it right now, and like I said, it doesn't have to be new either.

my next vehicle will either be something old school, or something with towing capabilities. i have made up my mind. i wanna build a 1970ish GTO, challenger, barracuda(that thing got a hemi in it?), or maybe a 1980ish vette.

I tried to reply last night but this thing was being a bitch so I'm gonna try again.

I was saying that, as Josh already knows, the original owner of the 1973 RX-3 in Lillington is selling it. It's on its 3rd engine, which he rebuilt ~50k miles ago. The first engine lasted about 100k, the second engine was a reman from Mazda and it lasted about 110k miles before he rebuilt it. When I talked to him before he said he thought it had a charging problem, but he's thinking it may just be that he doesn't drive it much anymore. He has taken GREAT care of it over the years, and I really want this car but I'm not sure if it would be in my best interest to buy it right now. He wants $6500 but it may be negotiable, I'm not sure. I have pics if you guys want them.
