^ Good to hear. From experience and with other people's experience.... Jose does good work and if a mistake is made he is quick to correct it and make you happy. He does care about his customers. I like the guy and I like how he conducts business that's why I give him credit for all that he does.

stuff happens sometimes

But Str8Down
you can count on Jose standing by his work
Sucks your far away dude I understand

He's not a guy/shop that will take your money
and then say "oh well"

sometimes he is hard to get too
his assistant will not answer when he is not there

I visit the shop weekly
if you ever need to contact him
feel free to PM me... if you could not reach him

Update:

Jose was supposed to pick up my car on the 16th or 17th, so that he could fix it while I was out of town the whole next week, and I never heard from him. He finally called me last week, while I was out of town and left me a msg. Today, on my way to work, the car overheated, and is going to have to be towed home. So my problems are just getting worse, and I am not getting any of this great customer service I keep hearing about.

Keep following up with him man. He's got TONS of cars he's working on. I'm not saying he's forgotten about you, but you got to keep following up with him so he takes care of you.

I spoke with Jose and he said he would take care of it. If you know something is not right with the car don’t drive it. If I were you I would bring the car to him and let him fix it and get it over with. Your two and a half Hrs away and should had taken this into consideration. Don’t get me wrong I would be upset but I would have taken care of this problem immediately and not drive my car around and make things worse. I hope things work out But you have to take action.

i say jose is good but he procrastinates. i took my car there and it had a blown front housing. and all he was going to do was swap it out. he said he started working on it and that it would be ready in a couple of days. i called him every day to see what was up. and i kept getting the excuse tomorrow.... tomorrow..........tomorrow. then i went to check on it twice and he didnt even touch it. so i took it out of there. just picked up a 6 port from a guy on the club and hopefully cano from ortiz is gonna swap it thurs. as for jose im not even gonna tell you about my tranny problem i had b4. just make sure he takes care of you i guess. and get it compression tested after you leave from there.

what cars are they
make and model color... plz

fuego been in PR on vacation for the past whole week
will be back by tuesday (I hope)
My motor is there

sorry to hear this man
ehh

He does good work "most" of the time
things happen....

I would agree with you tho
and most people that has had fuego do work
including my self

he does take long to complete bigger jobs
There just soo many damm cars there
He needs another wrencher to assist him
and get better organized knocking out the cars

If both cars are there
make sure before hauling them home
there 100%

take it for a nice drive around Orlando
don't turn it on
"ok sounds good" turn it off
haul it back up north and then realize
leaking oil, hard to start , back firing, vac leaks etc

'93 silver FD w/PFC, right.

There are two charcoal GSL-SEs there. Mine's the '85 charcoal GSL-SE with the ham radio license plate. It already had the transplant done and thoroughly botched by Driving Force here in Jacksonville, who had the car for EIGHT MONTHS. I picked it up out of there NOT RUNNING.

Incompetence abounds in Jax. But they'll charge you like they're neurosurgeons.

I appreciate your checking on this for me.

The info shouldn't involve more than a phone call but it just doesn't work that way in the RX-7 world.

I should just drop a V8 in each car and be done with it.

HORRIBLE!!!! Been almost 3 weeks now and still have not heard from him. Doesn't answer the phone, and doesn't even have an answering machine anymore. This is the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. Meanwhile I am stuck without a car and out a lot of money.

Jose is on vacation until Sunday. I spoke with Mickey and he said that's when he's coming back. He'll be in on Monday.

ok i just got off the phone with jerry who is the owner (i assume?) of Amigo auto sales in front of Fuegos shop and he said that Jose will be back on Tuesday.

My car is there as well and the one guy that doesnt speak ANY english was supposed to be working on it but he hasnt been there because he got some kind of bad infection in his knee and hasnt been there since last week and had to go to the hospital.

Str8Down sorry to hear about your bad luck Ive been taking my car to jose for about 6 - 8 months now and it is frustrating sometimes because he is a hard guy to get ahold of but in my opinion its worth it in the end. like everyone else on here has stated He does great work and if there is anything that doesnt seem right after he is done then he will fix it no questions asked.

Subscribed for updates from Str8Down. I want to know the outcome. From what it sounds like, everyone has had good experiences with Fuego except you, hopefully it is just a fluke. My motor needs to be rebuilt and ported and I'm tired of the runarounds. 1stGenT2, I feel you, I had my car at Driving Force for months too and had to drag anything out of them to get anything done. Does Fuego tune engine management too? If so, looks like Fuego is the end all to my problems.

As far as I know the two of them have talked. Fuego is going up there this weekend to pick up the car. And the other guy that has the FB and FD over there should be done pretty soon too. He got the FB running in like 20 minutes, and the FD just received a new injector to fix the leaky one it had. Jose is on top of it all.

the new "used" injector is also bad Rey
(I there all day and so was Rey -I stayed later till 7PM)

Once ashly's FD is done
he is going to bring down
Str8Down's car

The FB GSL-SE/TII idles pefect at 800 RPM and sounds sweet!
(should be a real fun car when done)

To be Fair to Jose
for everyone reading these thread
thinking these cars are mint and just need a engine rebuild

no way!

These car had pre existing condtions
toasted wiring harness
bad bov
bad fan
bad injectors (why engine blew in the 1st place)

Str8Down <------overheating

none of which can be blamed of a "engine rebuild job"

We will see if he shows up, that is the 3rd time he said he was going to come and then just not show without so much as a phone call. I am not here to blast Jose, I am here to let anyone who would consider using him, know exactly what is happening. Jose can either make it good or bad, but giving me back a car in barely running condition, then making me wait a month to fix it properly, is not good business.

And speaking for Ashe's cars, maybe, I don't know, but to say my car wasn't mint is a total lie. My car was completely mint when I broght it to him, it just popped a water seal, which they tend to do around 60k miles. But it boosted perfect and was dyno tuned by Steve Kan, who is WAY more reputable, and even he said my car was sweet. Now the turbos don't work AT ALL, it loses coolant and overheats, he removed the airpump and all emmissions without even asking me. Now my exhaust stinks like hell and makes me smell like hell when I go to work, not to mention WAY louder. Maybe some of you will sacrifice smell and noise for a few more HP, but I won't and if I wanted my car like that, I would have done that to it myself.

My BIGGEST complaint of Jose is his lack of communication, I would be a lot more understanding if he kept me informed, but he doesn't answer my calls NOR return my messages. Seems like the only time he talks to me is when some of you local guys swing by the shop and ask him to. How mad would you be if he said he would be there to pick up your car, which is broke and you had already paid him to fix it, and he jsut never shows up, 3 TIMES??? Then goes on vacation, with your car still broke and you with no transportation, AND DOESN'T EVEN TELL YOU?
