Raleigh meet Idea!

Hey Guys,
Just to let you know, I recently purchased a Auto Detail Center with my business partner. Its located in Fuquay-varina about 6 miles from the grill 57 where the meets are currently held. We Have both been part of the Rx7 community for a while, I have a 1988 n/a and he has a 1984 Gsl-se(horror Beaver). We want to offer our car wash/ detail center for a upcoming meet. We can do a bbq if folks will pitch in like $3 when they arrive. Your all welcome to wash your cars there or we can have them detailed for like $15 outside only or $25 for in and out. Were a Professional Detail Center with our own property and ample lighting, so everyones welcome to stay as long as they want starting from 5pm. I can post photos tomorrow night if anyones interested.

I would be down, but my tire just picked up a giant metal strap yesterday and now I need a lot of body work before I can show my car in public! Hahahaha. Anyone know a good body shop near Ft Bragg or Fayetteville so I can make this meet?

Don't want to steal this thread so just PM me. Thanks and I hope to see you at this meet!

The meet would be fun. Depending on the time and my work schedule, I'd like to be there.

FWIW, I've used this business for both my RX7's (since I'm too lazy to wash my cars), and they do a nice job--well worth the ten-or-so mile trip to get there.

Anybody planning on going to the car show on August 7? I hear it is the first Saturday of every month somewhere in Brier Creek.

Are there any regular Friday or Saturday night coffee gatherings? We would meet at Starbucks every Friday night in Richmond, was always a good time.

Arrow North Carolina Rotaries Falls Lake Cookout

Time - Saturday, August 27 · 10:00am - 5:00pm
Location - Falls Lake Beaverdam #29

It's that time of year again. If you have a rotary powered car (mainly Mazda RX-7s and RX-8s but any car with a wankel engine in it will do!), Had one, did a swap or are just plain into them or Mazdas in general you're invited to attend!

We will provide food (hot dogs, burgers, snacks, fixings, etc), condiments, plates/cups, utensils and so forth. We'll have some drinks and ice but since it takes up so much space (like we have a lot to begin with in these cars!) and we'll have our cars full with everything else it would help if everyone could bring extra drinks and ice if possible. We'll have a donation box setup on the main table to cover expenses.

Start showing up at 10am, meet & greet, lunch, raffle/giveaway, more meet and greet, photo shoots, clean up/pack up, go home or those that want to can do a relaxed cruise around Falls Lake.

We hope to see you there!

Go here to find Falls Lake, then click on the Beaverdam jpeg for a detailed map

Raleigh Meets

North Carolina Rotaries is on Facebook!

We left here years ago when we called ourselves The Raleigh Rotary Drive In (RRDI) and started out own website/forum since the RRDI thread on here was the largest thread on the forum and impossible to keep up with. Since then we've all migrated to Facebook for various reasons and decided to do our thing there. We still keep a small website with some info and pictures up.

Anyway we still hold meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 3pm to 6pm at either Grill 57 in Garner or Fat Daddy's Market & Grill in Raleigh. So if you're on Facebook check us out for meets and events.

Well, I knew once I posted I would have to deploy right away. So looks like i will miss August and September. Hopefully I will have enough time to get my car up and running before the October meet if I get back early enough.

Greg, great to hear you guys still exists. The old website disappeared for awhile.
Don't do facebook, can you make the facebook page more public so it can be seen
without loggin in? Had a great time last meet I made. Don't think I'll make one for
awhile, too busy.
