Raleigh area rotor heads

Just moved to the Lillington area of NC. Any rotor heads in the club around here? There's a white FC near me parked with wheel covers. Haven't seen any others but would love to hook up with any locals.

Most of the folks in Raleigh use the book of faces to keep in touch. I do know they used to
meet at the 57 Grill cruisin on the 3rd saturday of the month. I went to it before.

We also have the charlotte Cars and Coffee the 1st Saturday every month. But is about 2 -3
hours drive from where you are.

thankyou!! I'm not a face book kinda guy. My girlfriend is though. I'll get her to look around for me. Is there a particular name they go by? I haven't been to a rotary event since the late 80's when I was briefly associated with the Mazda Rotary Club. Be nice to find a group locally to mingle with.

wow, I'm just seeing this first time. Sorry!! I don't care if it runs or if it walks (lol) I'm just looking to rub elbows w other rotor heads. TG Farrell is a Mazda God having that zoom zoom article written. My 5 letter is a survivor but it's all new stem to stern minus engine. Added a RB header exhaust at 110k.. now has 117 on it. Like to find someone to advance my timing 5degrees since it breaths so much better now. Runs great. Loves the weather down here. From Akron Ohio originally. Here's two recent pics in case you see me. Let's hook up!!! I'm just 2 miles west of lillington off old 421.

she found Raleigh Rotaries. Requested "join group" her name is Cindy so let her in if it's ok. Been a rotary driver since 87. Love to join and do some meets and some greets!!! I may even have to join the "book of faces" if it stimulates communication. Again Cindy is making a join request so when she pops up give her the nod! Thank!!

I really appreciate all the nice comments on my five letter. Hope you keep me in the loop when a meet and greet comes up. I'm a severe rotor head from way back in 1983-4 when I drove one for the first time. This one is my third if you don't count the one I sold and bought back 23 years later. Lol! Since I'm not on Facebook personally I can only rely on this club and my girlfriend who's on Facebook to keep me availed of any upcoming events. This club is the best motor car club in the world. Wankel was a non conformist and so am I !! Lmao. So are all of you. That's the main reason I hope you guys keep me in mind when you get together. Looking forward to seeing your pride and joys and showing you mine!!

I'm looking to move down to the winston-salem /raleigh area this summer. I'll probably be buying my FD around the same time. Literally been planning on buying one for 10 years lol, but was too busy adulting. This summer looks like it's lining up to be the time to finally do it though. Debts paid off. No car payments. Finally got where I want to be professionally. Now just have to hope it translates to good position in NC. If it does I'll see you guys out and about by the end of the summer

Hey, thats how the OGTA got started in ATL. Mike and Ray started meeting once a month
and it just grew from there. I'm thinking of doing the same here in Charlotte as I can't
get down to ATL often enough. We used to have a local meet here but it dwindled after
awhile.

If I can get an RX7, then I might be. It would be the first time I would have done something like this.
I'm pretty sure there are some other users around here that might be interested.

Greensboro never really had a rotary scene for as long as I can remember. We always been in the middle of the Raleigh group and what was the I40/I77 crossroad group. Once Im back running im game for meet and greets.

maybe we're getting somewhere. Only takes two to start attracting attention. I followed an rx8 into the parking lot near where I work the other day but he's knew to the rotary scene. We talked a minute. Doesn't belong to any groups but I think he could gather interest. There's a FC just up the road from me that's covered in the driveway but I haven't seen it move yet. One of these days I'm going to just stop in and introduce myself while in my 7. There's a local small auto garage that's had an FD sitting in the parking lot for months. I asked a guy working there the story said his boss the owner owns it and it needs a leaking turbo fixed. Other than that I seem to be the only one here. I notice a guy from Fayetteville coming to DGRR si I'm hoping to meet him.

I had the same problem. I don't do Facebook but my fiancé does. She got hooked up with them and we traded a few messages but never really got an invite to meet up.

Try Carolina Rotaries. We changed the name as the group spread outside of Raleigh.
