Best place to watch is at the bottom of the hill where the Esses are. They lead down to turn 5. It is a great view. That is were I will be more or less. They just repaved the track, so we will see how much traction they get without groves.

ATLGT, you're welcome to offer helpful suggestions and guidance here, but for God's sake, don't let everyone know about Spectator Hill.
He's right - it's the place to be. I'll always setup camp on the hill, walk down to the pits for the startup (1 hour or so before the start), and make my way back to the hill. Get there early, though.
What do y'all think about getting together on the hill? I'll be with 7 or so fellas and will be parked next to the old white Volvo P1800 that's up there with me every year.

Jeremy,
Damie and I were wondering if you were going this year or not. Drop him a line and see if he's going as well. He hadn't made up his mind last time I talked to him concerning Petit LeMans.

I have to take mother in law dear to the airport for a 1pm flight. I want to see some 7's and other no piston machines - Somebody please leave me a spot for my "other" lady. Turn 5,7,10 you tell me where will the action/group be this year?
Thanks, .... Alan

What I like to do is start from the hill looking down through the Esses as they are coming towards you in to corner 5(large video screen there also) then in to the evening walk up to corner 6 and watch the cars outbrake each other with rotors glowing.
From there I walk 150 feet to corner 7 and listen to the cars launch on to the back straight (nice to hear the Corvette's bury the throttle here).
From corner 7 walk the entire back straight stopping occasionally where the bumps are to see the trails of sparks coming off the prototypes in the pitch black (and the sound of the machines at full song is fantastic).
Unity, do you have access to any more of the Grand Am Sucks t-shirts?!?!?!
Who has decided on their camping spot and where is it?

I think the last time I went was the time we three camped out on the infield...was that 05 or 04? As far as this year...probably not since the wife wants to take me out for my birthday that weekend. I don't think she enjoys race gas headache as much as I do.
