I have a single Turbo white fd in crestview and there is a black fd up there too. There are two or three fc running around. One has a nice exhaust system. He hangs out at the wing place on 90. Another buddy of mine in cview has a nice fb. And one there guy I know in destin has an fd that he has wanted me to help out with but I have been deployed. As for 8s... I just helped a buddy build his. its red with red wheels. Its an old retired guy. Pettite racing built n/a, lowered, exhaust, ect.... he is in crestview as well.

 

Awesome! Stay safe man! Good to hear from other enthusiasts in the area. I've only seen a Red FC running around crestview. There use to be an FB that was right down the road but I'm not sure what happened to him. I'm putting the motor back in my FD now. If your buddy needs help with his FD have him jump on here and let me know.

Pettit is hit and miss. I either hear good or completely bad about them. I imagine the original owner knows how to build but it seems like its been a while since I have heard of a good build come from down there. Hope your buddies 8 lives for a while with no issues.

 

I have a black FD in Pensacola. I had my 1st FD built by Pettit Racing. My experience with the shop was very good. Never had an issue with the build itself and always got help with any questions I had. There are a few more FD's in Pensacola that I know of but they don't drive them as much.

Good deal man. My fd has been sitting for 7 months. I started it the other day but the braile race battery is dead, is not registering temps on the gauge, and I broke the passenger side exterior door handle. Chris ott is sending me a new door handle and a battery tender. I bought a new temp sending unit too. Anyone interested in my turbo and intercooler kit? It's a greedy kit with a rx7.com v-mount intercooler. I want to step up to a t04z. I also have 60-1 turbo to go with it. The misses won't let me get three new unless I get rid of the old. Lol.

 

Yea i saw you were deployed. Did your misses ever crank the car? When I left for 6 months I left the keys with a friend and he cranked it every other weekend and got it to running temp. I worry to much about the rotary motor!

 

She did not. A buddy of mine started it and drove it a couple of times but it did start up the other day. It took a minute plus the battery is dead.

 

Still waiting on parts for mine. ugh...cant wait to drive her again.

I am from crestview but i drive a charcoal grey 84 fb turbo 12a. Glad to hear that there is more people driving rotary.

I have only ever seen a red FC running around Crestview and the gray FB at McDonalds by Walmart.

I just painted the engine bay in my FD this weekend so now the fun of putting everything back together starts. Hopefully have her out and driving in the next month or so.

 

We should get a summer meet started. Maybe a 4th of July weekend dyno, dinner, and firework show? It could be a cool weekend summer event for the panhandle area.

 

That would be cool! Just a matter of if things can be put together in time or not.
