If any of you are going to get tunning by any shop. Ask how he tunes the timing. IF any of them say that you set it flat and you leave it alone. and just do the AFR's. Run ......RUn like the wind.

And from now on.. anyone who only sticks to one computer. to me.. IS NOT A TUNER. Obviously you dont know how the efi really works and your only sticking to one computer because someone taught you on that particular computer.. and of course you do not have the knowledge to apply it to; other (better) computers which outclasse the one you use. If you cant apply to another computer you fucking failed as a tuner and should remove yourself. Thanks.

Fuck the system-

man im very good with microtech. and i have tune micro and haltech. i dont like haltech but thats just me. plus i havent tuned any other because i havent got a custome with something different. and yes i get alot of people asking me that question but if you understand the concept of tunning. timing afrs etc then you can tune any ecu.

junito1 03-15-12 05:12 PM

That post was a result of my still being pissed off from what happened a few months ago with Abel performance. BUt it applies to whomever fits the description.

Shops in South Florida

just moved to boca raton area and working up in lake worth. i'm looking for a shop that does good preventative maintenance work and a place to tow my 94 r2 when it breaks down. was going to rotary power in glendale, ca which is a great one man shop. searching through this thread i came across these places. any recommendations? i used to take my 88 gtu to jeff at maztech in tampa (another great one man shop) when i lived out there. he was a wealth of knowledge and always did great honest work. he fixed my actuators and my ac after several mechanics were stumped. too far to drive there from here though.

^ Go to Kilo Racing in St. Cloud. It's about 40 minutes away and well worth your time. Jesus Padilla, the shop owner, is one of the best in the business.

Agreed, they tuned my new carb and had me back on the road in 2 hours.. and I didn't even give them much notice. They did a great job, I wouldn't take my Rotary anywhere else.
