I bought CircuitSe7en's "boost block". Sounds like pretty high quality, only around $25. I searched eBay, but all they had around that price range looked like it was going to be crap quality parts.... probably stuff I could buy at a hardware store and put together myself. I'm sure you could go higher-priced, but I figured that if I'm going to end up with an electronic boost controller then why waste the money? The only reason I didn't go with the EBC is because I want to be able to install it and go, vs. having to rip out my ECU and get hot with the soldering iron. Not a big deal, but I don't want to do that right yet. I want instant gratification

Yep. I run a Megasquirt ECU, and I built it myself. Full standalone (to include wiring and everything) cost me less than $500. Raksj04 saw the bill
The EBC is essentially a transistor, 2 resistors, and a solenoid. I'd have to crack in to the ECU to solder in those 3 components, then wire the solenoid. Not a big deal at all, but I don't feel like doing that right yet.
I just installed the Circuit Se7en manual boost controller. I'm thoroughly impressed now. With the t04b hybrid and C7 boost controller set at 15 psi, it's all white knuckles and grins for me
Couple that with the new Tanabe lowering springs, new struts, poly bushings, and pinion snubber, this thing's an absolute BLAST to drive around in now.
I really gotta hand it to Evergreen Turbo. They really know their stuff. A quick phone call resulted in me sending my entire bearing housing and rotating assembly. He scoped it all out and machined the bearing housing and shaft, then gave me some .005/.005 over/under journal bearings to match. Everything came back looking better than ever, and wouldn't you know it, the damn thing stayed together this time!!
Boost controller installed, not mounted yet. I wanted to make sure I have the boost dialed in completely before mounting it. Makes adjustment so much easier. Dirty fender... I know.

I also made an adjustable rear camber bar. I measured it before and after. So far I shortened it 20mm. Probably need to shorten it a little more, there's still negative camber there to zero out.

That's only like 1% of the fun! The real part is the building/wiring/working out any f*ckups you made! Of course, learning from other peoples' mistakes makes it a little easier... but rest assured... at some point you'll screw it up yourself.
If you don't have a boost controller, I really recommend you order one now. Even though you may have gotten the adjustable wastegate, I found that the wastegate creeps open, killing your turbo response. With a boost controller, it won't allow pressure to the wastegate, keeping it tightly shut until the desired boost level.
Don't believe me? If you decide to go to Sonic tomorrow, let me know. I'll take you for a ride

Mini to answer your question from before. S4 rail with a stock FPR
It's a gorgeous car though. I love those wheels

Nothing is wrong with the convertible. I guess I saw this S5 and got a wild hair up my a**. I have decided not to pursue with it. I will have the sentra fixed tomorrow and will be back to enjoying the RX7 instead of using it daily. Though I enjoy using it daily, I'm starting to feel like I am abusing it because there is still work to be done.
