Fuddrucker's is tasty

And it's in Columbia on Bush River Road. Build your own burger place

Fuddrucker's is just off of the Bush River Rd exit on I20 heading towards Augusta (Westbound). Basically, if you're coming from Charleston you would take I26 to I20. The first (I believe) exit once you are on 20 is Bush River Rd. Turn left at the light. Fuddrucker's is just a short distance ahead on your left. It's right near El Chico's, which is on the right.

Berry is correct. Fuddrucker's is quite tasty! LOL.

Hey Reese, did you ever get a chance to put the AE on a dyno since you've put the 20B in it? I've always wondered what kind of power you were making now and at what boost level. Let a brotha know when you get the chance. Laterz.

****, **** ****!!! The fire department just left my house... I was tinkering with Joy's car trying to figure out why it wasn't wanting to rev smoothly when fire errupted from the engine bay!

I shut down quickly to stop the fuel and jumped out to try to douse the flames which were quickly consuming everything in the engine bay. I was dialing 911 with one hand and spraying the fire with the other when a couple of Honda guys (I used to call them ricers until they pulled up with fire extinguishers in hand) showed up to help. The tree on the side of my driveway caught some of the flames as well, which scared the crap out of me.

I finally got everything put out as a guy from up the street showed up with a couple of extinguishers. About 7 or 8 minutes later the fire department showed up. I chatted with them for a few about how it was scary/exciting dealing with the fire, but now I had to call Joy to tell her what happened. Heh.

The good side is that Joy was wanting to do a TII swap and repaint anyway, so I guess this simply accelerates that a bit. Sigh...I've been into 7s for about 8 years or so now and this is the FIRST time I've had this happen. Hopefully, it'll be the last! From what I can tell, it was NOT the dreaded pulsation dampener.

I'll get pics up shortly.

man, not another engine fire. There have been way to many engine fires this summer. Hopefully that was the last one.
Be safe people, dont let your cars catch fire. The only time an place fire should be is when your shooten flames out the exhaust. ha ha

The black in the trees is where it caught fire. The higherst point is about 8.5 feet up!

Holly crap that is preaty bad well atleast you didnt get hurt. This just shows if you going to have a 7 buy a fire extinguisher before you go get the car.

P.S. I was wondering if any of you were interested in coming to the upstatew meet on October 22 It should be fun.

Already trying to plan for it, rotary! It's mainly going to depend on gas funds right now. I'll keep you informed.

My SE will sometimes smell like gas, i should probably get it checked out. Or I could just do the 'Rusty Shackleford Fire Prevetion Mod.'

Good job on getting the fire out without any undue harm. If the rest of you want something to look out for, check all your fuel line connections, hoses, and clamps. The stock fuel lines are all made out of rubber and due to the heat from the engine and the friction of the clamps they can wear out over time. Especially if they have not been replaced in many years. I would recomend you all check your fuel system, if the rubber is starting to get hard and brittle then it's time to replace the hoses. Talk to your local Mazda dealer or Mazdaformance for pricing on the fuel lines. Furthermore if you are looking for a "next mod" you might invest in stainless steel fuel lines and AN fittings. :note: SS lines and AN fittings are pricey and if you have not had any experience with them before, you should contact someone who has used them before to get tips on how to PROPERLY connect the AN fittings to the SS lines.

John, I know you already have IDA throttle bodies, I'm puzzled as to what you have now that's so special. Expect a call tonight, you too Relmo.

Sorry again about the car Joy and Reese, but look on the brightside, you'll be getting a pretty much new one. Thanks for the tips, Steiner, the lines in Zach's car are getting replaced with steel ones when he gets back. Good thing, too, especially with all of these fires that seem to be erupting among sevens lately.

Oh and Congratulations again Reese on your article!!! HA, I was the first to post it here and I'm in California. Slackers!! I sure wish I had a RX Tuner magazine so that I could actually read it, but apparently they forgot I had a subscription

Take Care everyone and no more fires!!

Thanks, Berry! I wish I had a scanner so I could put it online for you. Ah well...

For those who don't know what she's talking about, I wrote an article for RX Tuner about the Deal's Gap run we took this past Spring. It was just printed in this month's issue. I'm really excited because its the first article I've written. With a little luck I can continue to contribute the kick-*** magazine (yes, that was a bit of *** kissing. LOL)
