We haven't done a 'who-brings-what' thing mostly cause we don't really know what's needed. Maybe someone could try to organize that part and delegate? Looking forward to the meet. Trying to recruit more 8's as we get closer..

Wish you guys were meeting a week earlier. I will be there for work, but leaving the 25th

I always try to meet up with locals when I'm out for work.

 

ok guys, I just talked to the people at Veterans Park off of racetrack road, and it is not ideal for us. There are no grills, and on saturday it is full of kids soccer teams, the lady estimated about 1200 kids. We used a park WAAAAY down hecksire dr a few years ago for a honda meet, I am trying to remember what it was called, I will post it here when I remember....

 

ok, the park we used was Little Talbot Island. They have grills, along with large parking areas next to each of the pavilions. Its $43 to reserve a pavilion, but you dont have to have a reservation to use one. The only downside to this (minus the long drive for some) Is the potential for wind coming off the river, since it will be in the 60's. It is also surrounded by long winding roads, which could provide entertainment, as long as the grannies aren't out driving that day . Just one idea, figured I would throw it out there.

 

Well I think we'll just have to use our old meeting spot off of Girvin Road. That park was always the ideal spot. Never anyone there. It had grilles as well.

yeah...his FD doubles as a parts transport...but his runs so i can't say anything. Maybe I'll come in the truck to haul cooler and crap...
