Was reading throught the "Spotted in Georgia" thread, and thought maybe we could start something like that for North Carolina people. Post up what you spot throughout the day... put up where you're from in your post so people have a better idea of what you're talking about.

I see a couple of FC's every once in a while around here (Charlotte)... I personally drive a red S5 GTU with Apex'i dual exhaust and Rota GT3's (white with a polished lip). Also have a wrecked front end now because a red neck in a Ram 1500 decided to forget how to drive...

Some cars I see around here...
-White S5 FC that lives at Campus Connection near UNCC with wheels...
-Red S5 FC with Racing Beat Exhaust that goes to UNCC... (looks clean as **** and used to revv at you every once in a while in the parking deck)
-Red S5 that works at Starlight Movie Theater and Home Depot... faded paint and busted driver's side fender and mirror... actually talked to you once at Home Depot
-White S4 FC in CPCC parking deck with custom exhaust...
-Maroon S4 FC in CPCC parking deck with custom exhaust and "1CROSS + 3NAILS = 4GVN" written on the side...
-Red S5 'vert that lives in the apartments across from University Meadows Elementary school... I think this is a chick's car... actually wanted to leave a note on the windshield asking if you'd sell your BBS wheels... goes to UNCC too...
-White FB with seat belt shoulder pads...

 

And a black S5 TII at the apartments off of Harris Blvd... checked it out one time and it had gauges and **** inside... it was stripped... didn't have the best body, but looked as if it were quick...

 

So far around my neck of the woods...

I've seen a lot of red FC's pop up lately, most of them are in good shape but need a good wash and wax. There are at least two different red S4s and red S5s not including mine.

There's a SWEET looking black FC I see every once in a blue moon. I've also seen a white T2 parked a few times, but never seen it driven. There are also a few black verts, and one red vert, all in excellent condition.

In FB land, I see a brownish FB all the time, and the odd other FB now and then. I think there are a lot of FB owners that don't drive them a lot.

For the FD's, I've only seen one driven around here, very rarely.

 

Sounds like y'all have enough rotaries in the triad to start a sizeable group in the area. With Lauren now in school in G'boro y'all should make some attempts to get everyone together in the Spring.

 

I don't know any of these people personally though... I wouldn't mind meeting up with some people though, I'd love to see what other people are doing with their FC's.

Thought of another one though... I was in Mooresville a couple of weeks ago at the Mazda dealership (Pop's is getting an RX-8 sometime soon), and saw a white TII drive past when I was looking on the used lot.

 

I am up in Raleigh most of the time because of school but my FD and I are back in charlotte on breaks and stuff. Yeah think I have only seen like one other FD before back in the charlotte area, at least where I live and it was a while ago. Seen a couple S4 and S5s though like you said.

I haven't really seen any rotaries around Raleigh, since it got really cold.

There is a couple of yellow FCs that run around Capital Blvd.

 

I've seen three... I think... I used to see a yellow one that dropped their child off at Moorehead Elementary School (I think...). It was yellow and had N1 styled exhaust.

I saw a silver one a couple of months ago at S. Tryon and Mallard Creek (University Area), maybe it was you if that's your FD in your avatar.

I've also seen a green one, but that was probably a year or more ago...

There's also supposed to be a few FD's in the South Charlotte (South Park) area... all the rich people down there meet up with their Vipers, Ferrari's, Porsche's, couple FD's...

 

Unfortunately around here there are a ton of RX-7s (mostly FCs) but no rotor-heads, if you know what I mean.

 

i'll be bringing a 90 FC( viper yellow) and a 94 FD single turbo( silver/purple blueish pearl) I'll be in the Saluda and Asheville area mostly. But will definetly be taking quite a few trips to Mooresville and Charlotte area. And even the long haul to the Raleigh meets every now and then. Hoping to be there around the beginning of April or so.

I was recently in NC and saw a S5 black FC with a blond driving it. I was on I40 East almost to greensboro. She was heading west on I40. Clean paint and straight body. And she was hauling the mail on the Interstate.

That and another FC i saw in Mooresville area, (red)

 

In Raleigh I see random middle aged people in completely stock locking nonturbo FCs alot

Crixtala, how long have you been in Charlotte? I used to hold meets every month in Charlotte for all of the 2004 year. I have been slack lately since I transfered to UNCG, I'm not in Charlotte that much anymore, but I don't think you ever came out to our meets.

in my neck of the woods i see 1 AE w/tons of mods- colby, not on board, 1 black T2 body kit and muffler- devin, not on board, all of steves 3-4 FC's-smoken' on the board, his brothers black t2- boosts4? on the board, i saw a pretty decent black vert the other day, lowered with wheels, looked ricey though, i see occasional FB's in peoples yards, white fb and older lady drives, few verts every now and again, and once in a while a few na FC's. very rarely a few FD's, cant remember the last time i saw one.

 

I've been in Charlotte since I was in second grade (I'm a freshman in college now), and I've had the FC since November 2003... driven it regularly since April 2004... modifying it since June 2004 (minus the exhaust that I put on before I was driving it)... some moron totalled it November 5, 2004...

No, I never came out to any meets... never heard about any... never really checked the SE section that often. I'm usually in the parts for sale section, I'm always looking for things to buy (for a bargain price that is ).

 

Thought about another FD I saw... this was probably October... or before that. It was before my car got hit. It was a Sunday, because my girlfriend and I were coming home from Church... flying up I-85 North when I saw a red FD around the Graham St. exit. I think it had an exhaust, but I know for sure that it had an aftermarket hood. It was an older man (older than me), and his wife/female friend. The car exited onto Sugar Creek Rd. I saw him point me out too.

 

well here aboard MCAS Cherry Point theres my 93 silver fd touring, my friends 95 montego R1 we just got back on the road after an engine transplant, my friends black T2 fc, another friends blue and black fb, and some other guy with a faded gray fc with an unpainted hood. plus im parting out an fb so if anyone wants some good condition seats or a tranny or something let me know.

I'm the Montego Blue FD on cherry point. She is indeed running again. Those of you who have been on cherry point, might notice my avatar was taken in the lemon lot =). The guy with the Black T2 isn't much of a computer person. But I do think he is on this board.

I've seen 3 or 4 on the UNCC campus..... A white FC (sometime a year ago, I remember nothing about it). A white 1st gen I think.... A red FC that was often parked near RDH.... And a Montego Blue FD I once saw parked near RDH at 11PM..... My 7 is there now. I know I've started 3 or 4 threads at least in the past asking about 7's I saw here and there

The red one might be mine... not sure what you mean by RDH... I only went to UNCC for one semester (last semester), and when I went to class I parked in the parking decks across the street from Fretwell. Here's some pictures of my car, so if this is it, you were seeing me.





The car was, and still is in desperate need of a good lowering...

By the way, saw a red FC 'vert again yesterday on 49 (University City Blvd.) by the Harris Teeter and at the light to get onto Harris Blvd.
